Re: Fired for Photo on FaceBook because I was holding 2 pist
I know, old necro thread. I still couldn't help myself. I really can't understand why a group of people who *should* have each others back instead turn on each other like rabid dogs at the first oppertunity. For examples simply see how people responded to the doomsday prepper guy losing his guns (&q...

Re: Upgrade an old 18T mount using the Sakar mount?
It won't be the "easy" fix some of us thought it might be. I called SilencerCo and their MSRP on the mounts is 300$. At 300$ plus another 200 or more for any labor to make the upgrade your sitting at 500$ before shipping, etc. Thats a big chunk of change for an upgrade I don't think your ...

Re: Form 4 Now in "Problem Status"
Perhaps one should take into account the examiner's point of view. Issue: Respect or lack thereof. Would there a difference in your reaction if your best friend making a snide or flippant remark to you or if a stranger in the car next to you in traffic did the same thing? Forms have only two values...

Re: Upgrade an old 18T mount using the Sakar mount?
So, either way, if I were you, I'd at least contact accurate ordnance. It may fix all your issues. Thanks Chris but I spoke to Bookhound about his remedy and it appears that their fix is "mount" specific. That's one reason I like my "mod" a little better. It doesn't replace the ...

Just plain stupid on your part. Zombie s--t is gay. I am going to laugh if it gets "lost". Man we are so awesome to each other in the gun community. I see this kind of stuff, and the pile ons whenever someone posts about the CCW incidents in NYC and am just saddened. It's like we look for...

Re: Upgrade an old 18T mount using the Sakar mount?
Gonna try it on my raider. I'll let you know how it goes. Any luck? Do you think you guys might offer such a service? I would gladly pay to have a solid, 51T friendly mount put on my 18T can. I'll probably be buying your Sparrow here pretty soon too, its just such an awesome 22LR can and oddly enou...

SOPMOD style 51T?
Why did AAC drop the slight over the barrel style mount when they came out with the 51T?
I wouldn't mind shaving a 1/2" off the 16" barrel I have with one of those like I used too with my old M4-2000 18T.

FS:14.5" MOE furniture CL upper 1/7 with AAC Phantom 18T FH
Not an NFA upper, FH is pinned/welded. FH brings it to 16.1-16.2". FN barrel and upper. MOE handguard and rail mounts (2) less then 1000 rounds through it. No bolt/carrier. 400$ OBO MOE furniture with mounts for V-grip and flashlight. Zombie Killer ejection cover included :) Paypal or MO. Typic...

Re: SOCOM style AAC 18 tooth flash hider / mount 75$ + shipp
Your right. I think I sent Silvers my Socom and he sent me that SOPMOD, but it might have been a SOPMOD for a SOPMOD, I forget. I'll look over that thread I might have posted it in there. And yup, it was tight on my M4-2000-06 too. I wonder if a ultra sonic cleaning bath would work/help? I tumbled a...

Sorry folks, I forgot to post that Chris took it. Its on the way to him now :) Thanks Received today in perfect as advertised condition. Thanks! I now have the A2 mount, the phantom, blackout, brake and now the SOCOM. I think I'm only missing one other oddball mount. (I think) that SOCOM also has a...

SOCOM style AAC 18 tooth flash hider / mount 75$ + shipping
Excellent if you want to shave nearly an inch off the OAL on your rifle (the FH sits back over the barrel just shy an inch) when the suppressor is mounted. Excellent on 16" barrels. I ended up with a 51T can so I'm selling my 18T mounts. Its a bit dirty, but I don't see the point in cleaning a ...

Re: What are the differences between the 51T and 90T systems
I have 4 51T mounts and 3 of them lock up tight, the fourth is still in its box, waiting for its host rifle. I'm still not happy about the design decision. Hopefully the Sakar will force them and some of the other companies to "unmarry" the mount from the silencer like has happened with th...

Re: Has Remington Reaffirmed its Commitment to 300 BLK???
Given recent events at AAC, it would be nice to get a statement from Remington reaffirming its 100% commitment to the 300 BLK round. Anyone got a source you can point me to where this has happened? If not, I guess this post is a request for such a public statement. What needs reaffirming about the ...

Re: Moving to New York?
The major thrust of the law change was not so that Remington could build silencers in NY, it was so they could simply have them for T&E. Prior to the change, Remington had to get a letter from the military (not the police, the military) that specified the item they needed for a demonstration, w...

Re: 2012 at SHOT from AAC so far
I have a M4-2000 and am still pretty excited about the new mounts. I also have plenty of hosts. Progress should never be hindered. I am looking forward to the reviews on the new SR series. Jason, do you have an ETA on the new SR series? I would love a "new" Mini 4 or Mini 7 with the 90 to...

Upgrade an old 18T mount using the Sakar mount?
I wonder how feasible (with the right equipment) it would be to cut off the AAC mount on a 18T can and thread the back of the can for the SilencerCo mount. Then you thread on their mount and bam, you've updated your 18T to 51T.

Re: 2012 at SHOT from AAC so far
On a 10.5" the newer M4-2000 is noticeably quieter then the older 18T M4-2000 and M4-1000. Heck my SDN6 is quieter then the older M4-2000/1000 when on a short gun. It was a good value in its day though. I was never really sure where the 18T M4-1000 fit unless you owned an 18T 762SD as well. Jus...

Re: 2012 at SHOT from AAC so far
See: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VhpYTyv9-Qk go to 9:30. Its *better* then AACs original 51 tooth design. And instead of leaving past customers with 1000$ in useless mounts they made a multimount setup. Thanks SilencerCo! lol Now I can upgrade my 5.56 can and not worry about incompatible mounts.

Re: 2012 at SHOT from AAC so far
Very interested in the handirifle! For those of us without a switchblock on our 300BLK, i think the handirifle would make a very inexpensive platform for showing off suppressed 300BLK. maybe an obvious question here, but the handirifle will be threaded 5/8" x 24, correct? Handi-rifle- threaded...
