Robert didn't test the numbers in the PDF on AAC's website, he just figured the Prodigy was a dB or two louder than the Pilot and that is what they published. Didn't even test a production model to see....yeah....that's doing a grrrreat job. Wanna know how many message boards Robert has been banned...

1928 had the Tac 67 at approx 30 DB Silvers at 35.4 The Tac people advertised 36? I think Silvers was doing a better job of testing the product in light of that. You think so? People are never going to pay for the information. Someone will just start a free site, like Silvers did. Again, my website will not be for everyone. I don't believe silvers results were loaded. The data speaks for itself look at the test results. SWR Warlock beat AAC Pilot in22's. the Sound Tech beat AAC Cyclone and SWR Omega. go throught all the data and even a blind man could see if it were a loaded test then why did everyone take a hit. Come...

I downloaded alibre express (free) earlier this week. I got a chance to play with it tonight, and drew this up. Found the rear sight in my scope box. Its off the gun and I don't want to take my scope off to replace it, but this is what it looks like anyway.

No, not yet. As time goes on I will be able to test more stuff. Then next tests I will be doing will probably be the Mite vs the Prodigy and I may be able to throw in the Tactical Innovations Quest/Diamond and the SWR Spectre... :)

Only flamers use anti-walk pins. I dont see what it can hurt, I have close to 60000 (the vast majority of that is 22LR) rounds through my M16A2 and have always used them and even though they haven't always held up, the holes they are supposed to protect are still in spec. 9mm beats the s--t out of ...

Did you by chance get to testing this when you did the pistols? It was scheduled for the last test of the day and my M16 broke its KNS pins. The review will be available, but not for a while. Thanks for asking John Jr What another set of KNS safety pins broke, tell me it isn't so.[/quote] Yeah, tha...

Could you test them on an AR? Yes but not right away. The first 9mm trial will be with pistols only. However, if time permits that day, I will run the Colt SMG upper for sound with the three cans. I hope to have time. Did you by chance get to testing this when you did the pistols? It was scheduled ...

Update on the 9mm Shootout with video

I am getting very close to finishing the work on the articles. I only need to finish my webpage changes and I should be able to launch before the end of next week. Semi-auto's tend to bleed noise out the ejection port which can increase the noise level at the ear but realistically this has nothing to do with the silencer per se. Understood. Do you know of any testing done that reports sounds measured at the ear? Or is there a general assumption as to drop in ...

Interesting tests, but inconclusive because he missed one vital point. Say the shooter hits the target instead of a wall? A 223/556 round has much greater potential to go through a person and several more walls all the while holding the potential to kill again...A shotgun blast with buckshot has far...

But if a .223 absolutely is too dangerous (to the point of being stupid) to use for home defense, why would you choose to have a slug in the gun at all ?
In case you needed a more precise shot than a blast of buckshot.

I agree with 1928A1. Even a pistol round can easily travel through several walls and a major appliance. I use a shotgun for home defense. I like the idea of keeping a slug in the chamber and ejecting it as necessary. I may start doing that myself. 444, in case you didn't catch it, you can eject the...

I use a rifle for home defense. I mean, I also have handguns for home defense also, but only if I am in a location where the rifle is not but the handgun is closer. There are far too many risks using a rifle for home defense. Rifles over penetrate, potentially killing children in other rooms, or ev...

http://www.silencerresearch.com/norrellfs.jpg This is the front sight. I removed the rear sight to install a scope. I thought my eyes were good enough without a scope to shoot squirrels. I was very wrong. My Norrell 10/22 has seen much abuse, so that's why the finish is messed up. The rear sight is...
