Re: Will Gov Shutdown hold up Form 1 applications?
Howdy, Update on Form 1 times. I filed on 7-12-19 and kept wanting for the email with the fingerprints cover sheet. Finally on August 1st I called the atf and was told I would not be able to see the attachments on an iPhone or iPad. That’s what I use. So I had to use my work laptop to retrieve my em...

Re: How much does a sound suppressor really silence a rifle?
Howdy, The suppressor/silencer on a rifle changes the pitch of and reduces the muzzle blast but doesn’t effect the boom/pop/ whatever of the supersonic crack from the bullet. On the battlefield this makes it harder to locate the position of the sniper/shooter because the bullet will continue to have...

Re: If you want to be combat arms...just do it!
Howdy, B- Women have some crazy stories, too. I had a female friend who was an AF computer programmer during the '90-91 Gulf War. She was cross-trained as SF and later told me that her job was to kill all of us Intel guys if the Base was ever overrun! Her revelation didn't shock me a bit. If...

Re: If you want to be combat arms...just do it!
Howdy, I used to tell everyone that I was the rarest thing to come out of the Vietnam War. I was the only known support troop to serve in SEA. Every one else was a Seal, Green Beret, Recon, Tunnel Rat, Sniper etc. You don't know how tired I got supporting all those guys by myself. Seriously, I think...

Re: If you want to be combat arms...just do it!
Howdy, One of my former co-workers always talked about being with the 5th. Special Forces and I always assumed he was 18B because he looked liked a badass, kinda tall, muscular ( but not a meathead ), faster than a scared cat and extremely athletic. Turn out he was a humvee mechanic. Go figure. I wa...

Howdy, http://www.careerinfonet.org/moc/MOCResults.aspx Yes, I was trained to use M-2s, M-60s, M-249s, M-19s, M-9s, and conduct Ground Forces Special Unit Maneuver Combat tactics. (For the M2 and M19 we were allowed to load and trigger exactly 1 inert training round and watch where the dirtpile poof...

Howdy,
Now that's funny!
All kidding aside, I work for the FAA as an Engineering Technician.
So, no spy satellites.
Paul
P.S. I don't even get to carry a gun anymore but I do have a Gov't issued 2013 Chevy 2500HD pickup.

Howdy,
I work for the Federal Gov't so the answer is "No."
This really sucks because I travel all over the state of Arkansas by myself to remote Communication sites.
Yesterday I was in an area w/out cell phone service and could hear banjo music off in the distances.

Howdy, I work for the Federal Gov't ( I'm currently tracking several members [ whiterussian, bakerjw, Capt. Link, etc.] w/ spy satellites.) and a last week I was riding with another Gov't employee that I had just met and he stated that he did NOT trust the Gov't. Me: "Really?" Joe "No...

Re: Anyone spent time in the Navy?
Howdy CL, He never claimed to have used a M40, but while I was flying on C-130s going to Central America he was working in the kids cloths section at Walmart. He did have a pretty believable "story" and had done a lot of research about being a sniper. He got a lot of info from several of u...

Howdy, Amen to that! When I was young like HS age Inthought it was every young man's duty to Serve but after being in the Air Force and the Navy I have since changed my mind and realize that it's not for everybody and some people have no business being in the military. We usually called the dead bea...

Howdy CL, I feel your pain Brother! There isn't much worse than being an PO3 with 3 years service that has his s--t together that has to work for an E-5 with 15 years that's a total rock. I wanted to toss this idiot down a ladder so bad. I also worked for another E-5 that was also a 15 year man that...

Wow! You can own/build a select fire suppressed SBR but you cannot reload and ammo is hard to buy.LavaRed wrote:

Re: Anyone spent time in the Navy?
Howdy, Just my opinion based on being in both the AF and the Navy: No Army 11B style combat. Engineman rating are the ones that drive the boats for Seal teams and UDTs not BM. To make it to E-6 in the boatswain's rating in less than 9 years means he was a pretty good butt kisser. His ribbons come fr...

Re: 300 blackout build
Howdy, I've used my .300Blk to take a medium sized 8-point back in November so I'm going to agree with savagetactical on this one. The .300Blk is a short range round and that extra 100fps makes the difference between a humane kill and a wounded deer that runs off and dies later. It also increases yo...
