They do use the 22x1 thread but I would not use it with the ops inc cans their blast baffle is pretty thin in my opinion it counts on the muzzle brake to take the brunt of the initial blast.

1/2-28 is the standard thread for a .223 or 5.56 so there is no reason to change it. just thread your barrel for 1/2-28.
