Re: Solvent Trap Kit - Local Machine Shop

Endcaps go on the end of the tube away from the firearm. I believe that you are referring to the mount. If a mount attaches to the tube itself and keeps the baffle stack in place, then each would be considered a silencer part and not legal or at best a gray area. Although I don't know of anyone ever...

Re: Solvent Trap Kit - Local Machine Shop

For best results kits must be assembled and finished by skilled labor. Bullet diameter plus .060" is standard bore hole size. .224 +.060 = .284 cones should be bored not drilled. 0.375 = 0.308 + 0.067 I intend to use appropriately sized endcaps for 0.224, 0.277, and 0.308. For a single can tha...

Re: Planning my first silencer build

The captain is correct about this. Form 1 is a 1 shot deal. No extra parts around when finished.
That said, you can rearrange a baffle stack if it is not a welded stack or welded endcaps.

Re: Momentous in Texas--Constitutional Carry & Suppressors

Tennessee also pass a FFA which exempts us from suppressors having to go into the NFA. Within a month or so of passing, as the holder of an FFL, I received a very poorly photocopied letter from the ATF advising that the law held no merit. So much for state's rights. This is certainly one to get to a...

I used to use Firefox with AdBlock+ and Ghostery. I moved to Brave because it had those features built into it and could use Chrome Plug-ins if needed.
If I want true anonymity, I run TOR.

Re: H.R. 5717 bill that restricts guns

They are attempting to label any future MNAGA rally as a terrorist event. I highly suspect that we will see false flag shootings these next 8 or 9 days and they will ram their gun control agenda through both houses. And there is a new strain of Covid which is so powerfully contagious that they will ...

I don't post on here often but I am very active on many political outlets. There are those out there already calling for databases containing names of conservatives and those who've been supportive of Trump so that we can be held accountable. There is even a website using google maps that shows all ...

Re: Monday... Trump in J.C.

I had to park about a mile and a half from Freedom Hall and got there around 4:45PM. When we got to Freedom Hall, the line to get in stretched about a mile down the road and around a turn. It was unbelievable. For the record, I did a bad thing. My son and I slipped into a group and essentially cut i...

Re: Whats up with this absurd amount of spam?

Well, the mods don't get paid. We get abused and derided by some for putting them back in line for being assholes. When I get notified by a report, I step in and clean up what I can. If there is a flood of posts, I defer it to Robert as it is easier for him to delete the account. All that said, it's...

Well, that might make some people happy, but getting a letter from the ATF asking if the responsible person on my FFL renewal was deceased caught my wife by surprise.

Re: Self Defense against dogs, case of unreasonable dog owner

As an avid cyclist, I see this dog owner behavior regularly. You spray or kick someone's dog that is in the road trying to bite you and the owners get all pissy about it. But, sometimes it works out well... My friend Dave had an encounter recently. Dog was unharmed but in slo mo it is darn funny see...

Tinfoil territory or close to the mark

From the election through the inauguration, things have been relatively quiet. I came across this from one of my daily news feeds and found it interesting enough to pass along. Tinfoil hat conspiracy? Perhaps. But I believe in keeping an ear to the ground and staying keenly aware of the little rumbl...

Got my first SKS from them. It was decently priced at the time and before I had my C&R. They also had cheap ammunition. That was well before Barry came along. As for Cabela's, Bass Pro Shops has bought them. We have one of each a few miles apart here. The market is tightening in outdoor stores. ...

Re: Obama kicks gunowners on last day with ammo ban

The thing that sucks is how it is interpreted. It states that it is the use that is restricted not necessarily possession. I cycle through a lot of federal land and I always carry when I do as you can run into some strange folks out and about.
