mp5 3lug mount

I am considering making a 3lug mount for my new mke t94 mp5 clone.
Does anybody know how strong the spring has to be. Is 150N (31 lb) enough?
How can I add pictures?

Unless you want a really complex geometry which could be build up bit by bit like a LEGO model, and used as the master. Anothe thing is to compensate for the shrinkage, and consider the warpage

Re: Integral Mk III plans

And you could just use the front half of the threading as thread and the other half is turned 0.005 larger than the Thread diameter, and on the barrel the diameter is 0.004 over thread diameter.
That way you have a thread and 2 surfaces to align the tube to the barrel axis

With a bit of work you can make a investment cast reproductive setup. ON your prototype you must determine the parting line(s). Then make the appropiate mold halfes, or more. Thats the mold. To make it easyer, you make molds of the mold halfes. now you can mold the mold in the future. The mold itsel...

you havent taken into account the deflection there is from the base of the bullet.
I would put a plug in fron of the barrel, and then move that plug in increment of 0.5" all the way though the model. that way you have a better guesstimate

if he had the female part, he could measure the the minor diameter, which should be 12.5mm. I have never in my 20 years as a mechanical guy, heard of 13.5x1 thread

are you sure its not a M14x1 which is less than the nominal size, or just a conversion error.
I it is 13.5x 1 the internal diameter should measure 12.5mm
I have heard of threads on g3´s which was way below spec, which again caused the bfd to be blown of

there is 2 other options. 1: mill the arc by a point to point motion. The points being calculated beforehand. Thr arc doesent need to be very nice, which increases the turbulence 2: Rough out the desired contour, and then last use a homemade shaper tool. The shaper tool should only move in the z dir...

Instead of spending tim making nut, I would use the front of the barrel. When you crown the barrel, make sure it is perpendicular to the bore

what if you drill small bleed holes say 40 all around the " thingy" with a diameter off 0.1", or made the baffels without the center hole, and then glueded everything together?
