No worries, I just wanted to get the receipt from you and clarify the pusher tool and wasn't sure if your AKO account was still accurate or not. If you could, mail or email a copy, I'd appreciate it. As we discussed in the past, I imagine it was probably just lost when my receiving dealer pulled it ...

Receipt

Bryon, Can I please get a copy of my receipt from my Spectre purchase from August 2008? I never received the pusher tool that I had ordered and have not been able to verify if I was charged for one or not since I have not seen the receipt. I wanted to follow up since I never received a copy included...

Everyone I talked to that does Meloniting, recommended against doing barrels in general, just because of the likelihood of affecting the temper and warping the barrel. I used Drake's Gunworks (http://www.drakesgunworks.com/about.html) for Meloniting my projects.

I haven't been really impressed with the SPS 700s I've looked at, and, though it can obviously be done, .223 isn't ideal for that kind of range. You're still going to have to toss the stock on the SPS and probably pull the barrel and square the action, which is why we had suggested the Savage since ...

Sounds like you need another Savage; change out barrels at home for whatever caliber you want within the limits of your bolt-face. The .260 will have less recoil and be flatter shooting than the .308, but there are far fewer factory options in precision .260 ammunition available. There are a lot of ...

Is there a reason you need to go with only Remington for a build? I ask because a Savage/Stevens is far cheaper and just as effective. If you only intend to go to 800, why spend all the money on a build? Get a 700P or PSS, Sendero, Varmint, or, my favorite, a 40X, in any caliber over .22" (not that ...

The 10mm is a neat cartridge. I would not hesitate to rely on it for self defense. I load my 10mm with 180gr. Hornady XTP JHPs. However, for self defense, I see no benefit to the 10mm over the .40, and think the .40's shorter case is bound to be a little easier to clear the ejection port. It may not...

not in the same league... Explain. I don't know much about 1911s. Is it the quality of parts, lower numbers manufactured, custom specs, checkering. I haven't heard of anyone with a TRP that didn't love it. It seems like guys get caught up in high end, high priced 1911s and buy based on names. I cou...

Hitting at 1100 yards with a .223 is definitely doable, but I don't know if it has been tried with an AR and you will probably need more barrel than 18".

How come the SIG SRP-series haven't gotten more attention?

I only recently came across a SIG 229 SRP, but understand they make them on the 226 and, possibly, the 220, as well. Looked like a great setup: high profile fixed night sights, threaded barrel with "American" thread pitch, and a lanyard loop. I'm surprised not to see any buzz about them on this foru...
