Re: New life starts to develop today!
We mixed in some barred rock hens the last time we raised new layers. Nice compliment to the RI reds. We get nearly white eggs to dark red/brown and everything in between. I find it interesting how different the dispositions of the different breeds are. We also raised meat birds last year - rock cor...

Bravo! I'm not sure about the facts surrounding the case, but I am sure that you nailed the root cause behind the media's feeding frenzy on this story.TROOPER wrote:...

Re: What Do Democrats Have Against Guns and Gun Rights?
Republicans in the federal government are just as opposed to gun rights as Democrats are. The only difference is that in the kabuki theatre that we call the federal government the Democrats have chosen to play the part of the side who chooses to openly voice their opposition to your right to protect...

Re: NYC High-Tech Gun Scanner Could Violate Constitution
We will face these type of questions at an increasing rate as technology continues to progress faster and faster. When I read about the court case regarding a search that ensued after a drug sniffing dog "indicated" while the officer was on someones porch a few weeks back I started thinkin...

Thanks for passing it on PTK.
It is refreshing to see R.P. shaking up the system as much as he is.
Too bad he isn't as effective when debating as he is expressing himself in written word. He nailed it the other day though:

Re: We Aren't a Truly Constitutional Republic Anymore'
He is right about that. Unfortunately, he is wrong about most other things. Reading his books makes me just about as angry as reading the communist manifesto. Both Marx and Levin do an excellent job pointing out problems that are inherent in our current system, then go on to propose "solutions&...

I have some of the EBR subs. I've actually taken a doe with them.
I pulled one a while back out of curiosity. No filler, Dacron, etc. I believe I know what the powder is, but I have to verify. Give me a day or two to get back with you Delta...

Re: Mitt Romney: The Last Republican President?
If Ron Paul gets the nomination, I predict many disenchanted prior Obama voters crossing over. Of course that is what would happen. How is it that the Republican base doesn't see that - for the things that matter most at this point in our history - Romney and Obama are one in the same? If the Repub...

Re: Looking for .22LR subsonic ammo that will not cycle acti
It obviously isn't as quiet as they advertise, but it isn't as loud as any of the 3 brands of CB when fired in an unsupressed rifle with a 22" barrel. I believe they are using really fast burning powder. Same velocity, 33% more mass, more accurate (for several of my rifles), and less noise than...

Re: Looking for .22LR subsonic ammo that will not cycle acti
I just got some of this in: http://www.cci-ammunition.com/products/detail.aspx?use=1&loadNo=960 It is full length, so it feeds out of 22lr magazines. It is 40 grains at typical CB velocity. Rem CeeBee, CCI CB, and Winchester CB match are all staples for me, but they are low pressure rounds. That...

Re: Custom Barnes 110 Tac-X bullets
Are you using a crimp? I tried both with and without. 4" to 6" groups at fifty regardless of what I do (powder, trim length, OAL, etc). This gun shoots very well with other projectiles, even those of the same weight (albeit a completely different design). I really want to get these to sho...

Linked pic from an ARF thread (not my pic):
When we tested the SCAR the operators had a lot of dislike for the holes. They made a huge flash at night and kicked up a lot of dust and sand when shot from the prone.

I'm still having problems getting these to shoot accurately. Has anyone else experienced this?
I can see with my naked eye that some of the tips are misshapen. Perhaps this is causing the problem.

America does not have a debt problem. The United States Federal Government has a spending problem. Taxing the rich will not solve the problem: This year, Congress will spend $3.7 trillion dollars. ... If Congress imposed a 100 percent tax, taking all earnings above $250,000 per year, it would yield ...

Re: Suggest a .22LR Bolt Rifle that I can SBR for silencer
I have a 77/22 with the stainless 1:9 Volquartsen barrel. Don't believe the haters that claim the 60gr ammo isn't accurate. I can hit a 1" circle every time at 50 yards with it using my purpose-built gun. Unfortunately, it doesn't shoot other subsonic ammo very well. I also had Liberty make a P...

They don't shoot worth a damn in my guns either.1911man wrote:Good luck getting these to shoot good in a BLK chamber, best I can get is 3" or so. Your best bet is the 130gr TTSX which is long enough that you can get it reasonable close to the lands and they shoot OK, especially in 1-10 twist.

Re: Life of a Ranger 2 on a 10.5" Barrel
Though it doesn't answer the question regarding "life" of the can, I will say that I'm very happy with my 10.5" Switchblock/Ranger combination. It is a dedicated can, so I used a little rockset and have never had a problem with it loosening. I mainly run handloads that are tailored fo...
