I'd like to see a comparison at the "shooters ear" (maybe of the Saker and the Harvester)
With the brake at the end of the silencer, I'd expect that it would meter louder at the muzzle (directing gasses and noises right towards the mic).

While I respect Your opinion, I can't even believe that You guys don't have an issue with a company that is impacting interstate/ intrastate commerce and doing so knowing their actions are doing so intentionally monopolizing the electronic system. If You don't see the problem with this it speaks vo...

Re: ATF is Coming for You Guys in A Major Way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
MGM, To blame Silencer Shop (and now Bender) on slowing down the system is laughable. You need to point the finger at the ATF and their developers for making such a craptacular system that they need to shut it down for most of the day. I've designed and written these types of software systems and de...

Should work fine. I have a sig commander length 1911 and it worked fine.
You can get barrels from storm lake and others.
Oh, sig also has two or three commander length factory threaded 1911s. So, yeah, the 4.25" 1911s work

Re: Osprey 45, Octane 45 hd, tirant 45
Octane all the way. Uses all the same mounts as the octane 9 and osprey. CTA baffles are all steel and seal together making disassembly easier than the TiRant as the design keeps carbon build up from gluing them to the tube. The design of the osprey allowing for lower sights would be the only reason...

WTB AAC Evo TRIAD 3 Lug mount needed!
Long story short, a box of random parts was stolen. In that box was my AAC TRIAD 3 lug mount for my Evo 9.
So, I'm in need of another. Anyone out there have one laying around to sell?
Thanks,
Chris

What is your diameter of the loaded round at the case mouth (Bullet + case) as well as the base of the case (near the "rim") Should be .380 at the top and .391 at the bottom http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j45/17932486/cart9x19.jpg Are you sure it's the bullet area and not the base of th...

Re: Received an E-form back... New twist?
The date issue is pretty typical of an Oracle based work flow document handling system. Basically, the system is set up to route the document through various users at the ATF for processing. On the final step, the examiner probably un-checks the "draft" box and clicks the approve button, w...

Lighter means more material removal is needed, which means more machining time. Time is money, more machining is more wear and tear on the machine and tooling. More machining on Inconel even more wear and tear on tooling.

Re: Finding an antique unregistered suppressor
In the past the ATF has deemed EDM'd in half cans as silencers still, just like cutaway guns are still guns. That's probably the stupidest thing I've ever heard. A half a destroyed silencer is still a silencer, just plain stupid. All this history thrown away at the whim of some unelected paper push...

Re: Suppressor Help
Here are some thoughts... 1. You can mount an AAC silencer like the 762SD-N6 and MK13-SD inside a hand guard, you just have to rig up a way to push the ratchet lever to remove. A friend of mine did this with a cardboard poster tube. You push the tube over the silencer, twist it to engage the ratchet...

Re: 7.62 can opinions
I would get a silencer that uses a mounting system (not a thread on).
It will allow you to put it on rifles of whatever thread pitches they make the mount for (like 5.56 AR's 1/2x28, etc)
It makes the silencer more useful on more rifles.

Re: Eform 1 kicking my butt. How do I fill it out?
From the ATF E-Bulletin dated November 8, 2013... If you are creating the firearm yourself, such as a silencer or a short barreled rifle (when finishing a receiver that is not yet a firearm), there is no original manufacturer. Because of the large number of makers (which includes filings by trusts),...

Re: Sig 1911 w/ Blazer Brass issues
Different 1911 magazines have different feed lips, which change the angle and release point of the round. You may be able to buy a few different brands of mags to test with that may improve feeding. The ones to try would be: Wilson (I'd get the new ETM 500-HD with their new square spring, but if you...

Re: Need a 38 special 158gr load (W231)
I'm confused... If you want to keep things subsonic, there is no need to push the envelope. The 4" vs the ranch hand will probably increase velocity anyway, so I don't see the desire to push anything to the limit with 38spl as you would want it subsonic. If you want to push the envelope and don...

I guess she doesn't want the women who are being beaten and murdered to be able to defend themselves from their violent domestic abusers.
By her own "logic" she is enabling the abusers. Sounds like she may have a mental disorder or something.

Re: 9mm 1911 as a suppressor host
Check with your 1911 builder. The 9mm 1911's use a different ejector than the 45's. It may not work properly as a quick slide swap. I'm a huge 1911 fan. I love shooting my 9mm STI 2011 with my silencer, it's an awesome host. http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8495/8300693174_27abcdec79_b.jpg Typically, t...

I'd also check for a loose ejector and incorrect tension on the extractor
You can google/youtube on how to do both of those things.
It's probably a lack of tension on the extractor.

As a matter of fact, I was just delayed for several hours last week because of the background check.
I've never had so much as a speeding ticket or anything else and I'm the one treated like a criminal, delayed, have to come back to the gun shop, etc.
