Re: Running carbureted gas engines with wood gas

well there are all kinds of youtube videos and such, and a lot of different websites that google brings up about it.. The same system works with coal, wheat, and all kinds of other solids; some produce more hydrogen than others an example video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kFOa_DdoT40 how it works...

Running carbureted gas engines with wood gas

This is a pretty cool method that has been around since way back in the day  but I had never heard of it until recently, so I thought I would share. A fairly simple example of a wood gasifier would be a 55 gallon drum that you can put wood in and burn to create heat. When your drum is nice and...

Okay, that is what I was thinking. Is there a need to explain why I am under 21 on a seperate page?

form 1 age?

From what I have heard in the past, an individual must be 21 for a form 4, but only 18 for a form 1, correct? So why is one of the questions on a form 1 " are you under 21 years of age?" And the intstructions say to explain why you answered yes to any of these questions on an additional sheet of pap...

Re: Looking for some advice and opinions on two form 1's

Hi, Why do you want to weld the Cones ? If you work out in junctions (cone + spacer or spaced-cone + spaced+cone) then there is no need to weld just having average machining skills. For better concentricity, just align up the stack at the rear side with the Blast Spo.acer and at the Front end with ...

Re: Looking for some advice and opinions on two form 1's

Thanks for all of the help guys! Okay, so far I am planning on a welded cone baffle design for the .223. I think I meant tubing, not exactly sure what defines it.. it is seamless mandrel drawn tubing, .065 wall I believe. For the pistol can, I'll see if I can afford some Ti ;) and try for some Ti an...

advice and opinions on two form 1's (Progress & Updates)

One of my good friends has an AR that he recently purchased and has been slowly customizing. He does not have any NFA items and his birthday is coming up, so I am planning to fill out a form 1 and write the check and give it to him. I am going to be doing one of my own at the same time, so we can go...

No derogatory intent, purely a scientific inquiry. I've never seen one before and I'm wondering if that's what one would look like.

Re: Ever considered buying an old missile silo?

When we was kids, we' rode our dirt bikes at an old NIKE ba  se. 4 top opening launchers, and some outbuildings. There were access hatches that were open and we could go down one flight down. However they were filled with water. There was a sister NIKE station about 3 miles away. It is now a ...

http://www.missilebases.com/adironback Is this the one you are talking about? I am very entertained by the idea and I think it would be awesome! I don't really know why, but it would just be cool to have.. besides, most of the normal houses with 40 acres here are over half a million, so its not that...

Call me crazy, but I fully intend to build a small concrete Bunker with a good vault door under my house when I build one in a few years. Store a pallet of mre's in there and have emergency water and supplies :D

Re: Walther P22 Silencer

If you wanted really basic and don't have the machinery, you can always make a cone baffle suppressor. Basically mashing a washer in a vice with a marble in the center and a tube on the outside to make a cone, and then make spacers either out of a little smaller tube than your outer tube, or washers...

Nice barrels. I've been thinking about trying something like that on an airgun. I'm in search for a garage sale paintball gun that I can make a barrel for and test. I made a thread on launcher for a cheesy little taurus .22 a friend gave me last summer, modeled it off of your pictures :) thanks for...

Re: Hexagonal Alu Bar for MonoCores

I believe he is saying it is harder to drill cross holes in a round bar, because the bit tends to wander and it is harder to measure hole placement since there is no straight edge to measure from.. It tried my first monocore with square aluminum bar stock for that reason the first time, but the inte...

Re: aluminum threads

my .22 monocore was aluminum, and I didn't want the threads to wear so I drilled and threaded the monocore bigger than the 1/2-20 threads I did on my rifle, and I made a threaded steel insert for the core. I put epoxy in the threads, threaded it in, faced it on the lathe in the direction that would ...

Re: cutting a vent rib shotgun barrel

I did the exact same as you with my 870. I just went to the next length above 18" where the rib touches the barrel, cut it off with a hack saw, and filed square by eyeballing it. you can use a square if you really wanna be picky. put a little tool black on the end and you're good to go! http://i289....
