I like the Dollar per db comparison. That's really putting it in a language we all understand.

What advantage does a 45acp rifle pushing a subsonic 230gr slug have over a mk23 or other 45acp pistol pushing a subsonic 230gr slug? I used to own a SRT Camp 45. USED TO. In my own testing, I was gaining nothing over a pistol with a good muzzle can. All of the pistol 45 can Ive heard sound like as...

Why not call up the suppressor manufacturer and ask them. Better yet, write a letter or even an email so you have their reply in writing. If you have a problem you want something better than "The guys on the internet told me...."

The Contender is a favorite because of it's versatility and the single shot action has no 'action noise' at the time of fir...

As long as the pirates are not killing the crews, but instead ransom them for money, you won't see the ships arm up and fight. Think about it. Why would a merchant seaman fight to defend a tanker full of merchandise he doesn't own if his life isn't threatened? This isn't like the merchant seamen dro...

I don't know if the OP went anywhere with the idea, I did just get here after all. This project is right along the lines of where I was thinking of going after I read the suppressed shotgun article in Small Arms Review a couple of months back. The article covered a ported barreled 12g. They used a s...

The semi auto may be prone to ejection port noise and or crud blown back in your face. I have a 96-44 (Ruger's 44mag lever action) that I bought to use as a suppressor host. Should be nearly as fast as the semi auto but as quiet as the bolt action.
