Re: Can you ship a silencer?

Thats a good point. According to UPS regulations UPS Stores, Outlets etc...can not handle firearms. ONLY HUBS can. +1, as stated on the UPS site https://www.ups.com/content/us/en/resources/ship/packaging/guidelines/firearms.html Aside from company policy a UPS store is a mediating courier office......

Re: G19 & Tirant9 Issues

My gen2 Glock 19 and Tirant9 are not playing nicely together. I'm getting stovepipes and failures-to-eject, often I can't get through a mag and once there were 12 within 100rds. This is not an ammo issue; I've tried various brands. I also tried replacing the RSA in the host and the issues still occ...

Your best bet if someone here or on uzitalk can't help you is gemtech.

Have you tried high temp Teflon tape on the threads to take up some
Slop? That's what we do on the fat Mac cans course threads. But I would expect the viper lock up to take care of it (that's the point of it right?)

Now that SilencerShop no longer carries SilencerCo who are some oher good dealers? I know of Capitol Armory. BTW SilencerShop, if you're truly done with SilencerCo then you should remove the out of stock ones from your site. ?????? This is news to me. Was there some sort of problem? A million reasons

Re: Can you ship a silencer?

Yeah, I've tried all that with UPS a couple times. Once I ended up on the phone with someone who was supposed to be a regional manager who said they would "check into it" but I never heard back from them. Another time the only response was "How much do you want to insure it for?" Another time I was...

Re: Can you ship a silencer?

"You will run into problems if the recipient is not you or an FFL" means that it is illegal. Pokey time.

I read 18 usc 922 a 5 and a trustee is not within the purview of the exception.

Did your lawyer not discuss these issues with you multiple interstate trustees?

I wasn't sure if this was the right place to post. Anyway, say I have a trust can I ship the silencer to a trustee in another state? Or can I ship it to myself in another state? Re: Can you ship a silencer?

This should answer your firearms shipping questions(interstate). https://www.atf.gov/file/61721/download When leaving the country with firearms, you have to fly them out with you. It has been a while since I've done it, but when I went to Cordoba, I had to jump through quite a few hoops to take my ...

Re: AAC Tirant 9S with 3-Lug adapter question

If you shoot full auto you Will get some lead build up and tons of carbon. The tirant only has one ss baffle and you can't sonic clean or dip the others. Plus the dater holes blast the inside of the tube with molten lead / carbon and you really can't clean it very well. It's not a great fa candidate...

Re: Barrel to Short

I've tried both. The problem isn't the piston, it's that the threaded part of the barrel isn't long enough to to shoulder on the piston without bumping into the bushing and pushing it out of battery. I'm thinking shaving the piston down will solve that as long as it's perfectly square. That can't b...

Re: All SS sealed can, and "the dip"?

Don't most manufacturer's say 22lr through rifle can is a no go? bc lead build up. I get this with WWB on a .45 Mac10 on a TiRant bc f/a. It sucks to remove - can't use the dip on Alum baffles. Rapid fire from SBR or F/A will blast most of it out. My SOT friend makes his own 556 suppressors and he ...

Re: No tax stamp if its welded on?

what exactly does this mean? i believe author is referencing fact that a short barrel can become a "rifle" using suppressor. A steel suppressor tube can be welded to a short barrel to avoid the tax and the hassle, as long as the overall length of the unit is beyond 406 mm or 16 inches. What he real...

Here's what I would do: Weigh it. Plug one end and fill it with Ed's Red. Plug other end (or acetone will evap) Let is soak for a couple weeks . Drain. Run a .410 ss brush in it (as large as can go in, perhaps just a .30 cal brush) and clean that bore.Rotating etc. Fill with acetone. shake. Drain. R...

Only you the individual, the transferor, sign it. A suppressor doesn't need to be signed by the transferee.

The transferee is the trust name and address. Do not put your name on it as trustee

Other than the little bit of legwork to get fingerprints and photos for the trustees, I see this as a good thing that the CLEO sign off was removed. There were many CLEO's refusing to sign even though state law allows citizens to own NFA items. I live in Idaho and the CLEO has to sign it unless the...

180 days...I don't know if that means the transfers must be completed before then. Or that if started prior to implementation of the rule they will be grandfathered. I believe the latter.
