You are right. In some cases I added too much water and it made it louder! It's a very efficient design.

Re: New suppressor from Ruger....Ruger?

well, the funky design means nothing until dbSPL tested against say the simple Sparrow mono. Ruger would have to be "different", and in this case i'll bet ya the diff is just this wacky design in cast part, and, not as quiet as the competition. Did you even watch my video? And Ruger released sound ...

Re: New suppressor from Ruger....Ruger?

I think Sig had some cast baffles a while back. That is a bizarre baffle design for sure. I am glad to see the mainstream companies getting into the game. Its about time. Ruger is obviously testing the waters to see how it goes. Reviews with no sound legit sound meter results are mostly just fluff ...

Video: Rugers first silencer

The new Ruger Silent-SR™ pronounced "silencer" is the first suppressor to debut from a publicly traded American firearm company. This innovative suppressor spent over a year in production and logged well over a quarter a million rds in R&D. The unique baffle design (pics available in older posts on ...

Re: New suppressor from Ruger....Ruger?

A better look at the splines that keep the tube from rotating and coming loose when unmounting the suppressor from it's host. Good for those AR15 SBR under rail .22lr jobs. http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/i356/Firefighter1291/DSC07501_zpsl21afeua.jpg Baffles http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/i...

Re: New suppressor from Ruger....Ruger?

Ruger just left my house and we were able to get some studio pics and shoot it out in the backyard. I will be headed to the range with Ruger and TheTacticalNomad (my camera man) tomorrow to film the review. I posted some teaser videos on my Facebook and Instagram accounts if you can't wait till the ...

Re: Review: Silencerco Hybrid

The booster pistons are interchangeable between the Octane/Osprey and the Hybrid. The fixed mount is not, which would make sense because the Octane is 1.375" OD, and the Hybrid is 1.565" OD. Also, the part numbers are different for the two cans. 5/8x24 for the Octane is AC153 5/8x24 for the Hybrid ...

Re: New 45 suppressor released today

I'm glad I waited on getting the tirant 45m (as hard as that is to do with these things) now that this came out. Great video as always. One thing though.. And this is probably a dumb question since I can't find the answer on Google, but to use this on a .22lr would you use the same 1/2x28 piston us...

Re: Review: Silencerco Hybrid

This has to be the one can I've been looking forward to since seeing it at the Maxim Vice event. I have SilencerCo cans and due to most companies proprietary attachment methods I'm sticking with them. I have a sparrow, Spectre 2, octane 9 and Saker 762 so this would be a good all around can. I'd li...

Here is the followup review to the one I posted last week. The DM is the shorter more compact version of the ScoutD. It performed well for it's size and price point at $219 MSRP. 16" barrel would kill the ballistics on the 6.5

You could get away with 18" on the 308.

Glad you enjoyed it!
