Re: blast chamber length

Excellent point on blast chamber volume and gas gun blow back.
Something to factor in if you are putting it on a gasser.

Re: Blast chamber for 6.8 SPC?

Center fire you do not pay a penalty for 1st round pop for extra volume ( like .22 RF ) in the blast chamber.

Barrel volume or close to it is a good target number.....

Re: What's better to cut threads in titanium?

Time is not money for me and I do not "push" my machining projects at home or work. I did use carbide tooling and the dark thread cutting oil you can get at Home Depot or Lowe's for pipe threading. http://i1329.photobucket.com/albums/w560/jkh62/titanium%20308%20can/NCM_0156_zpslfiqetzh.jpg http://i1...

It looks better than the Jessy James RPG horse vibrator can but curious how it meters. At least the price point is sane.

Re: End the death penalty

IMHO there are two categories of crimes : Violent and NON-violent. Non-violent should be the house arrest and work their asses off for the penalty. Violent should be incarcerated ( with minimums ) and for certain crimes as rape , child molestation , attempted murder of police death is fitting. Plug ...

Lots of people like to look at various designs ( myself included ) but no one is begging anyone to share.

Re: . 22 Can Baffles again

I think with that much volume, you could do anything. Check out my 22 can, I did a couple months back. here Whether it be my baffle design or the, nearly, 16 cu in of volume, the can is quiet. Have you thought of mixing some designs together? Maybe (3) 60* cones, followed by K's? "K's" work pretty ...

Re: General question concerning a partially "filled" can?

Ok, Thnak you for the quick responses (and forewarnings) i do believe i will stay away from filler material, as suggested. Fillers can be used and have been in the past with different results. Just make sure the materials can be cleaned easily as they can not be replaced on a Form 1 in the US. Knit...

Re: . 22 Can Baffles again

I would love to see the thermal internal gas flow of both cans and how well the gas is mitigated. Getting back to the Specter II baffles if it meters the same / close or better its doing a good job of cooling and slowing the gas no matter what the flow is actually doing. You cant argue if it works &...

Re: . 22 Can Baffles again

I've shot the Spectre next to the Spectre II, the 2nd gen is definitely more quiet. Close but not quite, meter has shown that the Spectre1 still has better performance than the Spectre2 but not by much. I am not familiar with the can/s running the specter I style baffles. Are they the same general ...

. 22 Can Baffles again

Given today's technology what is the best baffle design currently for a .22 rimfire can? K's are a given standard but really looking at the Omega (swr) style baffles and the specter II baffles and weighing the advantages & disadvantages of both. The dead air mask 22 is a modded K that looks interest...

That is the same baffle design I built my .30 caliber can around. I just scaled it to my tube dimensions.
