I honestly don't know if they removed the chrome or just applied the finish over it. I suspect the latter because the finish seems quite thick, but I could be wrong.
Considering I got the gun for the equivalent of $500, I believe it was a good buy either way, for a perfectly functional gun.

Is a Nielsen devise/booster not necessary on a 1911? Looks like there are a couple ribs or something that hold the baffles in place (2nd pic). Are they going to be pressed?
