Re: Venezuela Collapsing, What Happens When Progressives Ruin A Country

That's just asinine. Venezuela spent a lot of money to prop up ALL of their social programs. When the money dried up due to an abundance of product on the market, their funding dropped by around 66%. The problem was that their economy was almost exclusively oil dependent. No matter the system of go...

Re: Venezuela Collapsing, What Happens When Progressives Ruin A Country

While a_canadian may differ, as someone who lives in Latin America I can say that US influence is the best hope for the region. I am fully convinced that without it we would have already collapsed under the weight of corruption, drugs, and dictatorships. Personally, I find that things have taken a t...

Re: Zbroyar design

What's funny is that suppression would significantly improve if he removed the center "tube", flipped the baffles around and avoided drilling holes in them. It would basically be a parabolic baffle design with proven suppression. He can keep the odd shape. so basically, if he built it completely di...

Re: Zbroyar design

Sort of like a simplified version of the Jesse James Aerosonic: http://youtu.be/Cb1bOG2-fv0 https://www.northwestfirearms.com/data/attachments/187/187200-404c865dbe2016d1bb1a99c76d62b4c0.jpg Neither seems likely to do much suppressing. Re: M3 Grease Gun integral suppressed barrel

Just when I was starting to have a budget again, you people start giving me ideas! Now I need to go dig out my spare M3 barrel to do the same! Just let me know, I can have it ready to go before the papers come back. We can modify it from what you see, this is a non ported reflex design, with the 11...

Hunting Commies on Labour Day

So today being Labour Day, I thought it apropos to celebrate by hunting for commies. So here it is, a model of a Guatemalan Army patrol in the early 90's hunting for communist guerrillas in 1/16 scale http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a204/Verasofi/M41%20Bulldog/2016-04-30%2016.43.18_zpsep14oj9a.jpg...

Re: would you do this to your can???

The real question is whether one gets 1337s operator skillz with this mod. I assume he was trying to go for the old SOCOM can look. If memory serves the SOCOM can had baffles spot welded to the tube, hence the look. But in a conventional suppressor, WTF?! This will weaken the tube. How thick can th...

Re: All New 300 BLK PDWSD

I gotta ask something here because i see it a lot. How come a lot of people use such a huge baffle stack/lots of baffles? Doesnt that take up a lot of volume? Now ive only built 2 so far, one for 308 and one for 223, but in both i have only 5 60 degree baffles and a rather large blast chamber and i...

Re: Crappy dealings with Matt w/ Stalking Rhino

I've waited for up to 2 years for some custom metal work at times, often with no communication for months (any shop worth it's salt will focus on the shorter projects which bring in day-to-day cash flow first and work on the complex one offs slowly), so that it's perfectly normal for no progress to ...

Nope. Still waiting for my can to be opened and the weight to be shaved. Ordered a few 1911 springs in different weights as my buffer seems to use these, but they'll take a while to arrive.

Nope, not opposed to it at all. I actually took it in to the machinist today so that he'll remove the endcap and make it thread-on. That way I can test different mods and weld it back once I'm satisfied.

Ammo is not so easily available for me down here, so I can't test lots of different types, sadly.

Where I live you need a special license to reload, licenses for every reloading machine you own, and you're barred from selling the ammo to others, so that you must account for the disposal of every single reloading component imported.

Re: All New 300 BLK PDWSD

Update: Tested again this morning with a lighter 2.46 Oz. buffer that I had laying around. It cycled in semi-auto, and ejection was more positive. But, the noise was terrible this time. It made my ears ring and it had the classic rifle crack and everything. What gives? I know every prototype has its...

Re: All New 300 BLK PDWSD

The gas hole on the barrel is 0.11". The gas hole on the switch for the High position is 0.15" or so, much larger than the barrel's. What I meant was bullet noise on the ground. And I was right. I found a ricochet from one of my bullets today right near my firing position. Recoil is literally zero. ...

I performed a second test, this time with the gas open. On Low setting it would not cycle. I switched to high setting and it cycled 2 shots before dry- firing on the third. Re: All New 300 BLK PDWSD

Is there anything you can do to improve your baffle stack? Maybe clip the cones or put more ports in the spacers? Either might work. It's a sealed can tho, so taking it apart presents a challenge. I guess my ears didn't ring, so that's a good sign. And my yard does have high walls, which would magn...
