+1 for the 762SD. The can + the mount will run around $900. You will have to pay the $200 to the feds. The best part about it is that it is so easy to mount on different guns. I use mine on 10 different guns. A $100 mount is a heck of a lot easier to purchase than a suppressor, and I dont have to wa...

Which states prohibit silencers?

I get a lot of conflicting reports about this. Where is an accurate list of states that PROHIBIT silencers? I have heard the number 16 on here before but cant find a list that has 16 states on it. I found this website: http://www.dndguns.com/c3faq.htm And this one: http://www.mp5.net/info/sbsconr.ht...

There is no way to prevent it other than waiting for the Blackout brake for the 18 tooth model or finding an old phantom mount. +1 for the break. It will stop the ringing, but the trade off is that it is $150 and is louder when firing unsuppressed. I would not recommend the phantom because I read a...

It has been my experience that H&K's customer service is horrible. I dont take the loss of a warranty as that big of a deal since it is so hard to get anything done with HK. I'll wait and see if the production model Ti-Rants are everything they have been hyped to be. If so, I'll be going that ro...

Machine gun transfer via trust?

I am years away from being able to afford one, but I was just curious if anyone has successfully bought a machine gun and obtained it via a trust like the suppressors have been. Is this not allowed? Thanks.

For reference sake, I get a 3.5 inch drop at 100 with my 20" heavy barrel model 700 sps with my 762SD installed. My sporter weight barrels (on other rifles) demonstrate the exact same POI shift your rifle does. Is that consistent beyond 100 yards? For example, is the drop at 200 yards 16 inche...

Re: I have that same question..............

I have pretty much decided on the trust route. As of now my son and I are at the same address. I would just like to be able to allow him to use the silencer without me being present. Is he at least eighteen years old? And also what about the legality of adding a non-spouse significant other?? It's ...

Father/son trust question

Hey everyone, My dad and I would like to buy an AAC 762SD. I own my own home and my father lives in a different location. Is it possible to form a trust where we could both be in legal possession of the silencer? Our goal is for both of us to take it to the range independently, and not need to be in...

On the thread gauge, I don't even have one myself and have no experience using one yet. I know it's an important instrument though. I would just take your rifles to a qualified, experienced gunsmith/machinist with thorough knowledge of threading. They should definitely have a thread gauge and know ...

http://www.tornado-technologies.com/ The best in the world for threading. Trust no factory threads for concentricity. Verify all with a thread gauge and visually inspect all mounted silencers thoroughly, before firing. Of 4 rifles I put my 762-SD on, 2 were factory threaded already. Both were way o...
