Re: SWR's new suppressors for 2012!!!!

I don't want to come off as grumpy. But it costs a LOT of money to do this sound testing and more importantly, I spend A LOTTTTT of valuable "free time" (which I don't have a lot of) doing the tests. That's free time that I'm not spending with my family. If I'm sacrificing that much to provide the ...

Re: do form 1's expire?

I know Form 4's are good for a year. Are form 1's good indefinitely? I noticed they have no date next to the CLEO signature. Once they are submitted or? Sorry I know that sounds like an odd question but it seems your talking about once they have been signed but not submitted? Correct, signed but un...

Meh, full auto is impractical and expensive, plus I can have that at work. SBRs and cans are the way to go for me!

Nice setup! Is that the delta design $225 widget for the muzzle threading? How does it run? And where did you get that stock?

Re: Looking for unobtanium-socom II rails

Thanks crazy doc, I swear I have been googling everything from socom rails to m1a bottom rail etc and nothing was popping up. This is embarrassing.......

$400 is a little steep though, are there any other cheaper alternatives for adding a bottom rail out there?

Re: User serviceable Tirant-45 problem

Update, got in touch with AAC, it is a user serviceable can. I got into it by boiling it in water for a few minutes and putting the endcap tool in a vise, twisting the tube against that. This thing is awesome! Put a lot of rounds through it already. The coolest thing I have ever done with a firearm ...

User serviceable Tirant-45 problem

Just got my Tirant 45, love it, it's my first suppressor, and I can't believe how quiet it is! Was expecting much less after reading all the posts on how only .22's even come close to being "Hollywood" quiet. Anyway, I got one of the takedown tools also, and this can is supposed to be user serviceab...

Re: TIRANT 45 disassembly, can't remove end cap

Are you kidding me? If its supposed to be user serviceable ( dealer MM and instructions in box) will AAC open it for me?

Guess you can't answer that. I'll repost in the correct forum.

Re: Pistol tube conversion

Thanks for the replies. Was just wondering on the engineering side. As for the legalities, if suppressor cover are legal, I see no reason for a metal cover to be illegal. Also, many use their silencers on lesser rated calibers, and its not illegal. I'd be more concerned about ruining the baffle stac...

Pistol tube conversion

Would it be possible to convert a pistol suppressor such as a tirant into a rifle suppressor by machining a high strength outer tube that slides on and supports the thin can walls? Sort of like a metal silencer cover.

As it will be near impossible for me to ever get another can, unless I move, I want to get the most versatile/durable one I can. I will train to get used to the length/weight.

Re: Mystic or dedicated .22

What are you planning on using the mystic or 22 can on? I don't think there is that much of a difference between the mystic and a dedicated 22 can. Chondro has a couple videos on YouTube comparing the mystic to the kodiak tl or essence. The mystic would be more versatile but everyone should own at ...

Mystic or dedicated .22

I have a 7.62 Sd and a tirant .45 scheduled to be approved in a month. I have one more form 4 to use and I'm trying to decide upon whether to get a liberty mystic or a dedicated .22 can. Leaning heavily towards the mystic, as size and weight aren't going to be that much of an issue (I think, hell I'...
