Re: Iraq War: Was it a mistake?

So many things happened there that will never be known except to those few who witnessed them firsthand, personal experiences that have forever cemented my justification of the war. The media doesn't have knowledge of everything, and the 90-some odd percent of deployed soldiers who never actually fi...

Wondering if anyone could share recent info on how long 5320.20 turnaround time is these days?

Re: If you want to be combat arms...just do it!

Add this old 11B4 to the group! Was listening to a former marine at the VA talking about how he had the highest PTSD rating for stuff he saw in his time in Iraq, how he collects full disability benefits, and they even gave him a freaking service dog (this part was true cause the dog was there with h...

Re: New UMC 300 BLK ammo is finally flowing.

Speaking of the design of this round, was the Honey Badger project merely a demo-prototype or were any delivered to the SF community for testing? Always wondered about that, this thread just reminded me of it.

I picked up on that too, hence my earlier post regarding Catskinner's similarity with Leonard himself. One goes away, another takes his place.

Re: broken suppressor - now a paperweight?

The legalities here are vague and untested enough to be open to interpretation. Do you want to be on the receiving end if you interpret them one way and the ATF another in a litigation? It's not worth it to me.

Re: LWRC REPR to Les Baer should I switch

If you're doing strictly competitions, I would go with the Les Baer. If you're wanting it for hunting, defense, or other applications, I would keep the REPR and tweak loads until you find the magic one it likes. Unless you're doing competitions, shooting very long range or demand absolute precision ...

9" or 12.5" for hunting?

I am finally going to get into the 300 BLK game, for hunting whitetail deer and pigs only, typical range will probably be 25-75 yards, max being 150 yards or so. I would like to keep my weapon as short as possible, and would prefer a 9" barrel. For those of you who have experience with this rou...

Re: She's for sale

In looking around, bare clones are going from $2800-$4500. I am ready to sell this, so I will let it go for less than 2800 with everything on it minus the suppressor. The first decent offer gets it, and I pay my end of the transfer.

She's for sale

Sadly parting ways with this baby, one of my favorite guns, I just don't have enough spare time to get to use it much anymore. Bobcat BW-5 receiver, excellent quality, runs flawlessly with supers and subs. This sbr is in near mint condition, as is the suppressor. Here is what's on it: -HK A3 buttsto...

Re: Backpacks

I hate how big and roomy backpacks look until you get the full water bladder in there - they always end up robbing you of space you need. If you're going to be humping any distance with a large ruck on, strap your water bladder across the top of the ruck; that way you don't compromise space in your...

Re: AAC poor customer support RESOLVED

It's going to cost you $60 for the part just about anywhere, I fail to see where AAC is responsible for giving you a part that they no longer make, that you lost. That one's on you, just buy a new tool and 550 cord it to something big so you don't lose it again and be done with it . if you actually...

Re: Looking for Suppressor for Savage MARK II FV-SR

I use a Silencerco Sparrow on mine and love it. It has some FRP on my pistol hosts, but not on the rifle. Very quiet of course with subs. CCI standards have proven to be the most consistent rounds through my rifle in terms of sound and accuracy. That being said, I would go with a Spectre having shot...

Re: Origin of shot?

I assume you are referring to the reduction in sound shooting suppressed supersonic ammo, as opposed to dealing with the gas blast and crack when shot unsuppressed. I think it helps a little since the ears have less of a sound signature to pick up on, and the duration of the crack is noticeably less...
