Re: Interesting Youtube find....freeze plug suppressor kit.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kvDu_z3qUfU A friend forwarded this to me....the guys in my backyard, but I've never dealt with him. I have a lot of tools and fixtures hard chrome plated and that coating is super tough. I also wondered if a nitriding process would be beneficial for baffles

Re: Best thread size for 1 inch ID tube

It's for 1 inch Internal Diameter. Could one use 1-1/16 UNEF or would a 1-3/16 UNEF be better, or is another size better? Thank you :D I would run 1-1/16 NEF. But, BE SURE to choose a thread size such that the minor diameter of the internal thread is larger than that of the internal diameter of the...

Thank you!!
I chose an 15/16-20 UNEF Thread for 1 in OD tube.

Do you mean 1" ID or OD?

Re: Advice on Flow Simulation

I think the most practical simulation you can run would be through Comsol. That said, it could take months to run that simulation for a mach flow with particulate. If your machine even had the balls to perform such simulation! The suppressor model is dynamic in mechanical, thermal, chemical, and fl...

Re: Advice on Flow Simulation

Fwiw, I've run some slow sims on can designs. While these cannot accurately depict a real world analog for silencers, you can however find relative differences in turbulence and flow paths.

Osprey didn't come with a booster spring?

I posted on the SCo Facebook page about this, I picked up my 45 osprey from my dealer and the piston was out of the can when I picked it up. I verified the piston was right but failed to check for a booster spring I opened it up when I got home (an hour drive from my dealer) and found no spring insi...

Re: A return to the "dark ages"

Still gotta be in business and CLEO's are still notified of your business and the licensing you have. the point being cleos have ZERO control in the decision whether you get an FFL or not. if the ATF makes CLEO signoff required, people will find other ways. period. I believe this to be true. I also...

Re: A return to the "dark ages"

To some degree the question is how many people might willingly circumvent the law . I would venture to say that the number of people will increase. Eventually the citizens will become "fed up" (sorry for the pun) with the government, and they will do what they deem necessary to acquire the weapons ...

This is not legislation (in fact, its a circumvention of legislation bc the legislature, no matter how shitty, had nothing to do with this). Sorry... Don't know the answers you're looking for.
