Re: Rimfire Roundup
Those look good! I've managed to ration myself on .22LR the last few years, but now I've got a select fire .22LR that is quite hungry. The Spectre II makes it sound pretty darn good.

My last F4 was check cashed 2/1 and approved on 4/17 so you got a little wait yet.

I got a chance to run it the other day, functioning is vastly improved however it still isn't 100%. Even HV stuff isn't always cocking the hammer.

Re: Specwar 556 or 556k.
I can't help on the K version, but the regular 556 can is pretty sweet. It sounds really good and even at 19 ounces it doesn't make my 16" feel too muzzle heavy.

Re: Titan, mk-13 and 300 TM not for use on SCAR or Ruger Scout
The Ruger GSR's front sight isn't just hanging out there, it is press fit onto the barrel and isn't coming loose without some significant effort. Mine is square to the bore and my 300TM shows no signs of bore interference and it stays nice and tight. It is the perfect can for this rifle.

Definitely get a 308 can. The few ounces more that they weigh pales in comparison to how much cleaner they run.

The new adapter and bolt were in my mailbox yesterday and I got them put in the gun. I checked the Black Dog mags and they feed better now.

Re: .22 Conversion issues
Well I printed off the order form from his website and sent that in so he better honor the price ($25). I picked up an assembled bolt as well so they better match up. My local gunsmith said he thought he could do what I was looking for but couldn't get to it for a few months. I told him I'd try the ...

Yea I would like to avoid dealing with Ciener but if he has the appropriate adapter for it now I'll get that rather than have one made. Does your new adapter work pretty well?

Re: .35 Remington as a whisper cartridge
On the subject of pressure; 223 has a saami spec pressure of 50-55,000psi. And 5.56x45mm is loaded 55-as high as 60,000psi. With a longer bullet from a 556 jammed into the lands of a short throat 223 and no room to jump from the case, combined with higher operating pressure..... well things could g...

Re: Pilot 2 vs Spectre 2 vs warlock 2
I'd only get it if I were looking for NFA items to just buy. I have an original Pilot and it is good can, but doesn't hold a candle to my Spectre II, and the Warlock you have is lighter and easier to take down for cleaning.

.22 Conversion issues
I have an AC556 with the Ciener .22LR conversion. I'm using the Black Dog magazines since Ciener mags are not available. The main issue is that my chamber adapter and bolt don't line up very well. The extractor doesn't have enough energy to over come this all the time and won't extract fired cases r...

Re: Best dedicated 9mm suppressor host
I don't personally know about a 9mm 1911, but the 1911 in .45 ACP is about the best host I've seen. The combination of the unlock delay, slide mass, and mainspring pressure make for the perfect lockup time.

Re: Can anyone buy just one can?
I'm in the 'no' camp, but not just suppressors. All NFA stuff is addictive. I think it is because human nature makes us strive for the taboo. When somebody else says we can't have something or makes it difficult to get we want it just that much more. It started with a .22LR can for me as well. Then ...

Re: SpecWar 762 and 5.45?
Most 5.45x39 is corrosive, make sure to rinse the can out with water after shooting. The Specwar 762 is rated up to 300 RUM so the Russian round is perfectly safe in it. Rethreading is preferred but adapters are okay if they are concentric, use Rocksett so it doesn't come loose.

Re: Specwar 556 on SBR
Hopefully its a piston, otherwise it will jam up pretty quick. DI guns run much better with a 30 cal can. A friend just put one together and we tried both of my Specwars. There were zero problems with the 762 can on it.

Re: Choosing a 22lr pistol for suppressor
I have a Tac Sol Pac Lite upper on a 22/45 MkIII lower with the Tandem Kross bushing and it is a great shooter. It eats all of the decent subsonic ammo I've tried in it plus the high velocity stuff. It stays clean enough for 500+ rounds without a hiccup.

Octane. I'm going with the 45 version myself, but the 9 is also a great can.

Most sub 9 147s are right at 1000-1050 FPS, and 45 ACP 230 is right at 800 FPS.

Robert will be able to answer that a lot better than I will. My WAG would be the slower bullet gives the water more time to cool the expanding gases.

Re: 9mm or 45?
Shooting dry, the 9mm will be quieter than 45. A little water and the 45 is quieter, water doesn't seem to quiet a 9mm much on my Osprey.
9mm through a 45 can is still plenty quiet.

Re: What's the difference between the rifle suppressors?
I think how hard you are going to use it is the big factor. I think of the 30 Cal Harvester as light duty, the Omega as medium duty, & the Specwar & Saker as heavy duty.
