Re: 3D Printed Titanium Suppressor

Ill email my buddy that works there. I wasn't allowed to take photos when I was inside. They made a big deal as to how few of those machines there were in the world (single digit) and showed me an example of the work. It was a inch tall rook (chess piece) with an internal spiral stair case. The deta...

Re: 3D Printed Titanium Suppressor

3D print quality will only improve with time. Right now it looks sort of crude and I wouldn't pay a premium to own one. But I bet in 10 years you'll have trouble telling a 3D printed silencer from a machined one. That time is now. Unfortunately that quality of tech is expensive. There are only 7 me...

Re: Henry no longer at SWR/Silencerco?

I wonder what the new head of SilencerCo marketing thinks about this thread. This isn't like the poster debate. NOBODY is supporting these moves. This is destroying what biz people call "good will". Then again, if they have military contracts maybe they won't care? Bender, looks like a silencer comp...

Re: Henry no longer at SWR/Silencerco?

Emelio, at first I didn't understand your charged posts on this topic. But now I get it. Looks like you have a nose for this stuff. Silencerco may reap massive profits from these moves but they got rid of the people that put them there. Makes me wonder how long before the next company comes along an...

Seems this is confirmation of sorts: http://blogs.militarytimes.com/gearscout/2014/05/22/former-swr-partner-leaves-silencerco/ ..... This is a pet peeve of mine. Claiming you are innovating by laying off your star STEM talent. I hate it when business people do this without explaining how this will ...

I'm more interested in how this impacts prototyping, baffle design, etc.

Can't wait till we start seeing some novel baffle designs.

Re: Threading a 1.5" tube?

What is the wall thickness, and do you have a lathe? I can get access to a lathe through a friend. Looks like it'll cost me $200 to be able to thread the tub and the cap? I plan on threading a bunch of stuff. Project #1 is a tube 1.5" OD X .060. That's not for a silencer so I may not thread that on...

Threading a 1.5" tube?

Got any recommendations for how I can thread a 1.5" tube?

Or a place to get a tap & die set that big?

Thanks!

Re: White Sparrow

Ok, what is the obsession with the silver one VS bead basting the black or coating one silver? Emelio, I'm guessing you aren't into fancy watches, waxing your sports car or have a closet full of Italian suits. And in your school days you probably didn't buy jeans from Abercrombie that cost 3-6x as ...

Print / dimension specs for .22LR 4.5" barrel

I may have a custom barrel made but I need a print or dimension specs for a .22LR barrel.

4.5" preferred but will work with any starting print.

Someone will be turning a custom barrel out of a blank for me. CMMG style dedicated chamber is strongly preferred.

That's awesome. Thanks for the video. Reflex? How far back over the barrel does the can go? Btw what hoops do you have to jump to get a single shot AK in the UK? Is it hard to get? Biggest mag capacity? Is that banana clip blocked? Also, I heard suppressors are easy to buy as candy over there. No pa...

1oz difference in total weight but the weight distribution is different. Osprey is back heavy which makes Osprey lighter on the swing due to less leverage. It moves easier with the pistol. Not a big difference but I notice it.

strobro, how far away from the end of the hand guard does the Beer can sit from the rail?

Compass Lake M261 kit or CMMG w/ false chamber?

Odds are high I'm getting a custom barrel made for a dedicated integral suppressor. Compass lake can set it up so I will be able to use the M-261 kit or the CMMG w/ false chamber. The dedicated collar will NOT be an option. Nobody makes a steel bull barrel .22LR w/ dedicated collar option. Any comme...

CNC machine those thin baffles out of one big solid rod?!??! Do you precast it at all? That has to be slow / pricey from a manufacturing point of view.

Hepa filters are a no brainer and cheap if you choose wisely. Autozone, amazon, sources galore. Stacked rolls of toilet paper can even turn into hepa. I would have redundant 2 stage filters. I agree wet is best. Fewer modes of failure. What do you mean by: Even changing media will make dust. Got any...
