Re: Storm Lake barrels
Never used them but the company was recommended to me. I tried to buy one of their barrels but they stopped making threaded bbls for P226. That's about all I can say.

Re: OPS INC SHUTDOWN BY BATF
I strongly recommend that Ops Inc. reach out to David Kopel, Eugene Volokh and the rest of the gang at Volokh Conspiracy. These are big name lawyers and their readership is far and wide.

Re: Hornady Z Max Whisper Warning
1.3 total grains is of course extremely bad. The first time I read it, I though you were saying 1.3 grains less than normal. I don't think Hornady is a bad company for wanting a lot number. Companies policies evolve over years of doing business. My company asks for a lot number EVERY time something...

Re: Hornady Z Max Whisper Warning
Todd was a great CS supervisor. Props to him. I just did not have the confidence to believe they would give me a fair assessment after such immediate "no fault" declarations from the first tech. They made it clear that without lot numbers, it would not help them fix the problem. I do want to warn a...

Re: Hornady Z Max Whisper Warning
Probably the can was not screwed on all the way or the bore was not concentric to the can or the can was not concentric to its baffles. Loose neck tension would not effect that. What is loose neck tension? Geissele sells an expensive an alignment rod . Discussions here . I'm buying these rods: For ...

Re: Ideal rail length? End of barrel? 1" from end of can
Thanks. Current wait time is 4 weeks. Will buy one and do a video review. You've been a big help. What liberty mount did you get? I assume it's called HK-3 lug and not the triad. I have to ask, have you had any baffle strikes? I'm reading forum ar15 and they say the 3 lug wasn't designed for suppres...

Fireman, what was up with the exploding round? It go off before you pulled the trigger? Big shotgun was an 870 ??? And explosion was tannerite? Never seen it w/ orange dust. Re: Ideal rail length? End of barrel? 1" from end of can
I don't see a TROS 5/8x24 available. Only a 1/2-28 2B
I called liberty and they weren't aware of your trick.
What all do I need to buy?
Is the triad adapter ring the right part?

Re: Ideal rail length? End of barrel? 1" from end of can
Thanks for the tips. Will have to buy a 3-lug for my mystic. That's a great idea. How is that CMMG barrel treating you? Looks like all they offer right now is 8" even.
As well as one of the adapters you mentioned here:

Ideal rail length? End of barrel? 1" from end of can?
I'm doing a 300 BLK build. Debating what rail to throw on my 9" bbl. All my cans are either thread on or single handed QA (e.g Saker & Liberty). So I will have no problems putting the rail to 1" away from the end of the suppressor. Is this a wise choice? Has anyone had a bullet go out the can? Just ...

Seekins integral.... heatsinks on barrel?
What are the fins on the barrel right in front of the receiver? They look like a heat sink to me: http://www.seekinsprecision.com/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/1740x760/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/0/0/0011300027---pro-series-sprov3-8in-rifle-left-side_2.png http://www.seekinsprecision.com...

Re: Can't decide on a 30cal can
Sounds like 300 BLK is your main gun with the 308 precision close behind. Length is a big factor for you. If I were you I'd only consider these two cans: http://libertycans.net/centerfire-rifle-suppressors/chaotic/ And the new 7.62 saker. You will likely buy another can. No matter how hard you resis...

Re: suggestions for ultrasonic cleaner for aluminum
Cathodic protection is real but doesn't it change the metal structure? Hydrogen embrittlement , oxygen reduction, etc.... I'm not sure I want to change the metal composition. See this for details: http://books.google.com/books?id=9oLP22K4McUC&pg=PA170&lpg=PA170&dq=cathodic+protection+side+effects&so...

3 oz is amazingly light. I can't believe I didn't realize that about the can before. Please do a review of how easy it is to clean. Aluminum means ultrasonic and dip are off limits right?

Re: AAC at SHOT
The BrakeOut2 has 31% better recoil reduction than the BrakeOut(1) and is equal to an AAC dual-chamber or TiTAN dedicated brake - but with good flash reduction (better than BrakeOut1). Does it still ring like a tunning fork? Maybe less because the prongs are shorter? Yes. But only dogs and bats can...
