EMR - what's it worth

Considering a gently used KAC EMR, with all original paper work and parts (stock) + a Magpul PRS, one 10 rnd KAC mag, and 2 Magpul 20 rnd mags?

Re: Proof of subsonic ammo effectiveness?

A) terminal effectiveness - without knowing where you are in the continuum of knowledge - start toward the beginning - google and read about the 'FBI Miami Shootout' and the subsequent projectile testing protocols that resulted from the incident. Seek out info from 'Doc GKR' from there. B) in genera...

Re: Dems sponsor bill for 20% tax on guns, 50% on ammo

This is called "constructive denial", and it is illegal. I'd like to think that the SC would shoot it down much in the way that they would shoot down a 'sin tax' on newspaper ink, but with the current court... . Wishful thinking is putting it gently. For reference review the Hughes Amendment / Rang...

A) Welcome B) Yes, I clued into the video that he had an adaptor - cleared through the BATFE C) Yes, the suppression sucked compared to a high quality can D) Yes, I assumed you asked the question to get a rise out of the group - b/c everyone knows an oil filter sounds like s--t compared to a good ca...

Re: Help me pick a dedicated home defense can

Be advised that an Osprey will hang low and obstruct 40% - 60% of the light beam. If it is dedicated you should not care about take apart capabilities. Factors such as weight, length, and would you want to add taller sights should be at the forefront of your thinking. Based on that (and understand I...

Re: First Day Shooting My New Silencers; Video

Hod - (I only watched a portion of the first vid) - how many NON suppressed rounds do you have through that barrel? Have you done much dry fire with that barrel (racking and re-raking the slide several hundred times to smooth the hood)? Is it that brand of ammo only? Anything weird with your extract...

Re: SRT Arms Intergrally Suppressed MKIII Government Model H

Thank you for the down range portion of the vid. It'd be interesting to hear that against a MK2/3 with a Spector / Sparrow / Kodiak. Any FRP? Sure do wish Doug would make that and his Cheyenne XXL in a take apart version (hint). He makes good stuff (have had a .30 cal from him for some time), but I ...

Re: New owner of FA762SS - Questions

A) Gas face - you are retarding gas via the suppressor in a gas operated rifle - so yes, perfectly normal. If your LRB is a match rifle your gas system has likely been unitized, otherwise your can adjust the amount of gas that flows through the system. B) Subsonics - projo weight (for me) is less ab...

Re: Talk to me about the 30 cal cans on the market

Ive only had experience with pistol cans and want to put one on a rifle. Mostly 556 and 300 blk but 308 occasionally. I'd like a qd and looking to spend up to $1100-$1200. I know it's been asked before but just want a current market opinion. Thoughts on Mack brothers suppressor? Sdn6? Yhm phantom? ...

Re: DeGroat NANO wiped/dry on a .22?

I have shot a Nano - dry and wiped against a Sparrow in my garage (slightly oversized 2 car with sheet rock on all walls and ceiling + concrete floor, doors down or closed). They are both loud in that environment but the Sparrow has an edge. That said, on a couple occasions I have fired two shots (@...

Re: Choice of .308 suppressor.

Depends on what is important to you. What is most important to me is accuracy and minimal shift. Thus I like single point (thread on) cans. I own an SRT and think it is outstanding for accuracy and shift, but it is inconel and stainless and therefore heavy. I have an AWC Titanium THOR in the queue a...

Re: What 45 can performs the best on 9mm's?

i think the 45 is quieter then 9mm on my tirant45 (If you haven't already) Get someone else to shoot it and a good 9mm can - and go stand a little down range. I have a .45 Osprey and did this with a buddy and his Trident. The Osprey sounds great behind the gun, sounds good down range - but the tone...

Anyone in OR want to buy an Osprey? The story to me isn't the average, the story is the first round and then how many rounds till it produces its lowest meter reading. Octane - 135+ first round Ti Rant - 135+ first round Osprey - 138 + first round By 4th round the Octane was in the 130's. Take apart...

Re: Noveske barrel threads on CHF/Chrome Lined barrels?

What are you calling shims vs spacers?

In my book the shims from SF of varying thickness with a color code and the little index wheel instructions are spacers.

Mine is a straight shooter with MANY hits from 500 - 1,000

Re: Octane vs Tirant 45 or Osprey 40, on 9mm?

I have heard a G17 with a Trident (predecessor to the Octane) and a .45 Osprey. The Osprey on the G17 sounds pretty good at the ear, but the tone of Trident is a higher pitch (actually seems a little louder at the ear). However if you walk down range or to the side of the shooter the high pitch of t...
