Do you have some scrap on hand to use for a test? If so, and you get it right, you'll end up with internal and external gauges on hand to check your work when you cut the real thing.

Bringing this one back to life once again. Admins, please move if this is posted in the wrong place. I'm setting up my skinny factory 10/22 barrel in the lathe to thread for my Sparrow SS. The factory barrel is only ~.560 in diameter after cutting to 16.5". That doesn't leave a lot of shoulder, roug...

Whatever you use be careful taking very light cuts. It work hardens worse than about anything I've worked with. I have never had a problem taking very light cuts in titanium and work hardening.....sounds like your tool was either dull or not very rigid. What were your speeds and feeds looking like?...

Whatever you use be careful taking very light cuts. It work hardens worse than about anything I've worked with.
