Re: Which "fuel filter" kit would you recommend?

When making 2 of my previous F1s I had access to a full factory machine shop. I used a Floor-mounted Drill Press to bore the baffles and endcap.

Can I do this with a hand drill? Do I need special Tool Steel bits?

Anything else that I would need to alter this kit into a functioning F1?

Re: Which "fuel filter" kit would you recommend?

I have no idea about the vids. I only parroted what they posted on that Thread that you listed. Update: xrttactical replied to my PM and he is still taking orders for a planned Production Date of 2 months from now with a larger Selection of sizes and Options. --- I've been away from the "F1 World" f...

Re: Which "fuel filter" kit would you recommend?

Seems that ATF may have shut him down for "sharing info and vids created by OTHER people." Clarification of this? Why would the ATF care about videos? As I understand, AFT threw a hissy fit that those making Solvent Traps were posting instructions, of how those who LEGALLY get permission from ATF v...

Which Engravers are people using?

I'm planning on completing some old F1s that I've had lieing about. So I'm needing to source an Engraver.

Who are the cheapest, and what methods do they use? Milling, laser, stamping, etc?

Should I just use someone local if they can easily do it with simple equipment, ie: non-laser?

Re: First form 1 build, critique my plans please

Here a photo from another site showing the "retention cone" on the far endcap. Make it larger and slant drill holes to siphon gas from the exit tube, and it sounds quieter, smoother, more pleasant because of decreased atmospheric upset.

Re: Which "fuel filter" kit would you recommend?

I posted to that person on the forum that you mentioned T-rex. It seems that he is no longer answering his PMs. Seems that ATF may have shut him down for "sharing info and vids created by OTHER people." It's a pity, his products seemed really good and he said that he was expanding to Ti and 1.5" OD ...

Re: Which "fuel filter" kit would you recommend?

Yes, they post that the openings are .400" so that would be 13/32". I don't know how straight the threads are aligned, so I figured that maybe a looser boreline would help reduce baffle strikes. Does the size of the bore holes really matter that much for .22lr? I've heard .5L plastic bottles where t...

Re: Which "fuel filter" kit would you recommend?

Here is another Option: It's only 1"OD, .75"ID, 6.0"L whereas the previous 2 are 1.358"OD, 1.25"ID, 6.0"L. So less Volume, and different baffle design. Maybe better for a low pressure round? https://www.amazon.com/TONGDAUR-Aluminum-Solvent-Modification-Accessories/dp/B083DFS3LK/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=1...

Re: Sionics two stage end cap question

I'll try to answer what I can. Yes, AWC can supply you with a wipeless endcap. Just call them for a quote. If they won't, there are plenty of other SOT 7/02s here that will. Capt Link could probably help you. Another option, clean out the dry-rot washers and replace them with fresh neoprene sheets. ...

Re: First form 1 build, critique my plans please

Correct. The baffles are closest together in the high pressure region near the muzzle. They are furthest separated near the far end of the suppressor. The lower the pressure, the less benefit. Also, high pressure directs the gasses off of boreline and into tight spaces. Low pressure needs more space...

Re: Additional holes in endcap?

I had this idea years ago. We had a vigorous discussion. It turned out that Gunny50 had experimented with a design which used a "cone" around the exit hole and there were several "bleeder" holes drilled on a slant to pull the exhaust off of boreline and also "smooth" the gas exiting by exchanging vo...

I wrote a separate post, but the site ate it.... (from memory) Historian, didn't we discuss this concept before? Gunny50 even provided drawings and photos of how he uses this in his endcap like a diffusor. I found a PM from Gunny50 and a topic which I found using the search function. http://www.sile...

Re: First form 1 build, critique my plans please

What is the distance from muzzle brake to first baffle tip? The distance from the end of the brake to the first baffle tip is 3/8". Too close? Too far? I didn't see an answer to this, so I'd add my $.02 and say that I'd have the 1st baffle nearly kiss the brake. This would create a semi-enclosed bl...

You are certainly correct in each fact and opinion that you stated. It does vary by State. In TX, simply being on the Property is insufficient Justification for ANY use of Force other than Mere Presence, or Verbal Command. In order to Use Force, (even simply touching the person without any violence)...

Re: Texas wants death penalty for no knock raid when officer killed

The Penal Code clearly states that Home Owner was justified. Without ID, the Police was an Intruder. Presumed (even though wrong) Unlawful Entry, During the Nighttime, Through an Irregular Entry Port, of a Habitation. Clearly the Resident was Justified. We have a current case in Houston where the Po...

You are all absolutely correct. Police and GOv't Agencies have ZERO duty to protect. So disarming the Populace is as stupid as it gets. Anyone who can qualify to get a CHL in FL should be allowed to carry if they are a School Employee, or even Parent/Volunteer. If they pass the Background, they will...
