Re: 14'' 870 non-NFA witness protection clone
So now the law is that shotty is a pistol wit a really long barrel? And what's more I can put a short short barrel on it No, the law sees them as neither a pistol or a shotgun, just a generic firearm, like a blank ar-15 lower. The best way to confirm this is to check the model number somehow. If it...

Re: Adding wipes to a suppressor?
It has been stated in other threads adding parts to a suppressor not included in the original design is illegal. I was under the impression that wipes are not subject to the same rules/laws that actual baffles and bits are. In the case of my .22" suppressor, an over-the-barrel type using about simi...

Adding wipes to a suppressor?
So I know that it is legal to replace wipes in a suppressor, even though replacement of most other parts is not unless you are an SOT or have filled out a separate form 1. However, what I'm curious about it the legality of adding wipes, or a wipe to a can not originally built with one. If you could ...

Re: Whitney Wolverine
From what I've been told these guns are not very reliable and the Olympic Arms ones are not well made. Dissassembly is difficult and I believe I've been told that the threads may or may not be straight on all of them, which could lead to baffle strikes.

Where did you buy the barrel from?
I've been told time and time again that Remington will not sell any barrels under 18'' to anyone but law enforcement.
Have you shot it yet?
How did it preform / hows the recoil?

Re: I didn't think my views of Canada's gun laws could go lo
In NC you cannot carry any stun gun or taser, they are considered deadly weapons, cannot be carried even with a concealed carry permit and can even be considered a method of torture. Yet, every gunshop, surplus store, or gun show will try to push them on people under the guise that they are safer, a...

Re: Carrying around the tax stamp
I have heard that since the tax stamp is technically a tax document that a normal officer cannot legally require you to show it to them without a warrent. However, I dont think I would want to test this theory if the legality of my suppressor possession was to come into question. As far as carrying ...

Re: Waiting on my first suppressor, trying to decide on host
Weak point can be firing pin if dry fired but they sell them too and the slide locks back so no risk of dry fire abuse I would expect that issue with any .22, I tend to avoid dry firing any of my older guns as well as any rimfire or cap lock weapons. As far as price and aesthetics go, I really appr...

Re: Waiting on my first suppressor, trying to decide on host
My little Smith would fit his needs if it's "cool" enough. He might consider installing the threaded bushing as a " project". I actually love this setup, it has a very interesting appeal. How does the range suffer from the shortening of the barrel? What is required in getting a host simil...

Re: Waiting on my first suppressor, trying to decide on host
Forget about what You or your friends think is cool and get the A stock threaded Ruger or thread a MKII at least 3" I'm getting a suppressor as a fun thing, all my guns other than my shotgun and P64 are range toys. I love out of the ordinary project and I like unique guns. I'm not trying to "impres...

Re: Waiting on my first suppressor, trying to decide on host
I have a Walther P22 and love it, a bit difference than the one you listed. Threaded 1/2x28 threaded barrels are available too. With the P22, it is just a barrel extension that doesn't break the bank. Finding a threaded barrel for some brands can be a problem. http://www.americanrifleman.org/articl...

Waiting on my first suppressor, trying to decide on host
So I'm waiting for my first suppressor, a Huntertown Arms Guardian (new version). I filed on a trust in February and the BATFE cashed my check in early April so I should be getting it soon. I will be 21 in November so I'm hoping I get my approval around that time too. I'm so excited, this is my firs...

14'' 870 non-NFA witness protection clone
So as you may or may not know, the ATF has made rulings that a shotgun sold originally with a pistol grip only, that has never had a stock is not a "shotgun", it's a "firearm" just like an ar-15 receiver. There is no minimum barrel length for such an item. The only thing that matters is that it not ...
