Re: Went pending March 2 & 12 still not approved

You have to remember that if they worked too fast they couldnt justify needing more money for their department. You cant think like an NCO you have to think like a bureaucrat. Bureaucracies do not get more money for doing a good job. If you are a Gov agency and you want more money for your departmen...

Re: Help with Trust plz, almost done!!!!

From what I have gathered people do it both ways. On the two Form 4s I've done, 1 approved and 1 pending, and a Form 1 I did not include the items on the schedule A. But I did have other items on the schedule A so that the trust was valid, you have to have something in the trust. And according to wh...

Re: Applying for a silencer while on military deployment?

I did it during my last deployment to Afghanistan and in fact I sent my first packet in while I was at JRTC. I used a trust, your legal clerk should be able to do this. Find what you want using one of the dealers on the site here, then find a dealer near your duty station that will handle the transf...

Colombianito, Email me through this site and it will come through my AKO. I did something similar to what you are doing when I was over there with Currahee last year. Also if you get a chance to get to Bahgram or Salerno you can get the legal guys there to notarize it for you if the prick in your BN...

Stefan, If you are on PCS orders you can use them as your proof of residency. So if you are on orders for Kansas you use them and can buy stuff in Kansas. Done it many times. Currently have a suppressor waiting on paperwork here in Kansas. I bought the suppressor while I was in Kentucky, but didnt d...

SPF - Used AAC 18T Phantom style Flash hider for an AR-15 - $50 plus shipping. I bought this used like two years ago and never got around to using it or mounting it and have since decided to go with the blackout style. Used but not much from the looks of it - includes the tube of rockset. - SPF http...

Good point about the LEOs being able to hunt with them, since my understanding of one of the big reasons that suppressor are legal for all of us in KS now is that LEOs could have them. Also, I would just drop the whole ammo arguement, especially since you admit that it is reaching. You undermine eve...

I would add flash hiders and accessory rail systems to the list to see if they make any distinctions between accessories.

Find a pro hunting legislator, preferably from your area and that supported the legalization of silencers here recently. Write them and have them try and address this. The only way you are going to get anything changed is by them forcing the wildlife officials to clarify the wording in the regs. Foc...

Also, if you are military and assigned to Fort Campbell, you can use your orders assigning you to Campbell which is Headquarters in KY, even if you live in TN. I've bought pistols and suppressors from dealers in KY with my military ID and orders while I was stationed there.

If your military and stationed in the state on PCS orders, then you can use your Mil ID and orders as proof of residency. If you are there on TDY orders then you cant use your Mil ID for gun/NFA purchases.

I went the trust route and always make sure I deal with dealers who are comfortable using my orders and Mil ID card as proof of residency. Just make sure you are familiar with the post regs, each one is different. Campbell we could have them as long as they were legal (duh) and we had our tax stamp....

Well I am not sure if I will be living in KS or MO yet. I hope to get on post housing so that would be KS, but if I cant I will have to figure out exactly where i will live. Ranges and dealers around the Kansas City area

Well it looks like I got out of my assignment in New York. I am going to be stationed at Fort Leavenworth and I am looking for info on ranges and dealers (CL3 and regular FFLs) in the Kansas City area.

Ok guys, I need some education here. Looks like I am going to get transfered to Fort Drum, New York. What are the issues with bringing my suppressors and SBRs?
