Re: 9 mm ar

I like the idea of Glock mags, but my SBRd lower is a standard one. Anyone know of a magwell insert to convert the lower to Glock mags?

Re: BUG article (back up gun), do you need one?

A spare mag is definitely a good idea since many stoppages are magazine related. While a BUG is always good insurance, I don't think it is really needed.

Still, if you have a way to carry it, why not?

Re: Fed Judge Rejects Attempt to Block TX Campus Carry Law

It is good to see some second amendment common sense. One can only imagine what one or two legally armed students or professors could have done to stop Virginia Tech's massacre of innocent students. For anybody not familiar with Lt Col Dave Grossman, here's a link to an article on arming schools. It...

Re: Omega??? How many have them in hand???

I've had mine a few weeks and have a hundred or so rounds through it, all through my 8" 300blk Less blowback than my SDN-6. Easy attachment, minimal/repeatable POI shift, relatively light weight and compact. What's not to love about it? Definitely a good can. I'd buy a second if I wasn't already in ...

For non-reloaders who like the 194 gr Lehighs, Beck Ammunitin has them for about 35 bucks for 20 reds, as opposed to 50 brucks for the Lehigh factory loads.

Re: Suppressor recommendations for 300BLK SBR?

Just got my Omega this week. Seems quieter than my 762-SDN-6 and has less blow-back. Works well on supers, too. POI shift at 50 yds was not measurable (I was shooting an EOTech and my eyes suck). I'll mount a proper optic and try someday. +1 for the JP Spring. Big improvement there, too. I was shoot...

LLC Form 4 Timing

I have several form 4s under my LLC. Anyone know how long the LLC form 4s are taking? Two were started in JAnuary 2016. The other was started two weeks ago, so I don't expect it for a year or more!

Re: best .22 semi auto for suppressor ?

I'm with quiet time. I got a Savage MKII FV-SR suppressor ready bolt gun for under 300 bucks. It comes with a 16" pre-threaded barrel, is stupid quiet and groups phenomenally tight, especially for the low cost. I have a Warlock II on it as well and love it.

I have two form 4s that started in January and are through an LLC. Anyone know if LLC and trust form 4s are similar timing? I heard LLCs take longer, which will suck.

I don't even wanna think about the LLC form 1s I started last week... :(

Bought the AAC Element 2 on sale. Went the form 4 individual route. Check was cashed today. Just have to wait now. Thinking of getting the P22 as a host (still don't have a .22lr pistol yet). Heard the AAC Element 2 shines with the shorter barrels! Welcome to forum Dave. And as for buying your firs...

Re: Quieter 300 Blackout

Is it appropriate to treat sub-sonic 300 BLK as a pistol cartridge? Mind you, I'm not arguing for or against this, it just always struck me as, in essence, a pistol cartridge given the size and weight of the projectile, as well as the desired lower velocity, and all in conjunction with the shorter ...

Re: Quieter 300 Blackout

Is it first round pop, or continuous?

Any chance it is the buffer noise? I added a JP silent spring and it made a ton of difference; sounded and felt much smoother and quieter.

I have an 8" that is great with my SDN-6 and I have an Omega on the way for it also. Can't wait...!

Re: New suppressor from Ruger....Ruger?

So... Where are they for sale? I 'need' another 22 can for my 22/45 and keeping it in the Ruger family sounds great. Just gotta find them for sale. Adco Firearms did a great job threading my barrel and it is all set for a can, but I hate to take the can off my Savage rifle.

Re: Looking for ideas for Small pocket pistols with Suppressor

A 22lr PPK with a can would be sweet. The fixed mounted barrel might be a pain, but if you had good gunsmithing skills it might be doable. And with a 22, the can would be less out of proportion to the gun than a bigger 9mm can. Anyone know if anybody makes a threaded barrel for a 22 PPK? I'm gonna ...

I'm not too familiar with 45 ballistics but have looked into 9mm quite a bit. Bonded bullets like the Speer Gold Dot always perform well on the gelatin test protocol. I've been to real world gelatin tests and can vouch for the Gold Dot's performance. You can drive yourself to drink with the study of...

That's insane!

Sadly it seems that AAC is slowly getting out of everything but silencers. I'd l;ove a 9" SBR, or even an upper to put om my current SBR lower, but it doesn't look good for th ehome team!
