Re: End cap bore Diameter?

That size of a bore, I'm gonna guess 45 ACP.

Looking good.

One question. Is the brake going to "unload" into the first section of the tube or in the same tube as the cones?

Give me a date and a place and I bet I can make it happen. We're located an hour south of Limon.

Re: A friend swung by this morning...

Well to be fair .17HMR is doing double the speed limit at least, so lots of ultrasonic crack. There seemed to be substantial muzzle blast reduction, if not massive reduction, but it's hard to tell on camera. Might show off the muzzle blast reduction better, or more accurately anyway, if you fired a...

Re: A friend swung by this morning...

His adapter showed up earlier then expected. He came right over and I chucked up the center piece, threaded it and installed the adapter. It is one of those 1/2"-28 to 5/8"-24. Before he ran off with it, I took all of the individual pieces and weighed them. Came to a total of 8.27 oz. https://i.ibb....

Re: A friend swung by this morning...

Well, I'm not too terribly old and I think I still have excellent hearing. I know he has an older .22lr rifle and a 9mm. Maybe I'll get him to fire both of those in the video to show a difference as well. Of course, there will be a naked barrel shot and with this installed. In fact, he has two .17 H...

Re: A friend swung by this morning...

Any idea on what the dB of a 17 HMR is? I think I half jokingly asked you on the AR15 board about metering some F1 cans. Was that you or someone else? I believe we are close enough it could happen. I've never bother with unsuppressed metering, but I imagine 155 to 160 from a rifle barrel. They're p...

Re: A friend swung by this morning...

Nice work! What are the length, diameter and bore dimensions? It's not very hard to suppress a rimfire... waiting for the range report. I like the external design too. I posted this on the F1 board, so I'll just C&P it here too. Specs are 6" in length. Bore was done with a 1/4" drill bit tha...

Re: A friend swung by this morning...

Thanks for the picture. That looks pretty complicated. And for $5k! :x

Anyhow, I can't accept ownership of the design, just the build. I thought it was interesting and decided to post a picture of it to see what others thought.

Re: A friend swung by this morning...

If you're a'lookin' for people's 2 cents' worth of criticism... I'll suggest that it's one step worse than Jesse James' sweet potato can, as it doesn't vent into the baffle chambers as much as his long slots in the central soda straw. Of course his $5,000 can is a complete joke, but in large part t...

You...manufactured...parts? Yep, sure did. And there might have been a few beers left over for me when all was said and done. And, as fishman said, he was here, I am good to go. He took his pieces home with him and will bring them back when the adapter shows up. Why are the holes uniformly spaced a...

Re: Recore with clipped baffles

Why did he sell you his Rev. B RSCs?

Did he give you the option of the Rev. C and they were too much or something?

Mind sharing the price of the recore?

Can I weld on a cone?

Let's say I made a mistake drilling, cutting or filing and I'd like to fill that hole/gash/mark in. Can I weld it up?

This is all after it has been assembled and fired.
