Re: Quick Load Questions

Thank you sir.
I've been playing quite a bit with it ans some o it still doesn't make much sense.
I'm going to figure out the capacity of the cases and I ordered a chronograph.

Once I get it "down" and figure out what works I think I'll be all set.

Thoughts on AA #5 vs Titegroup?

I am. They sell brass pins. spent 22lr would be free. The AL might come out all brass colored though.

I'll try to get enough together.

Quick Load Questions

So I'm running some quick load calculations and I seeing stuff that I just don't understand. If I take inputs directly from the Accurate loading guide, minimum loads, I get results that say "DANGER Overpressure Don't use" Am I doing something wrong? For example: Reinier 250 Grain FP LC, AA # 5 the s...

Re: 3 Lug

So I have been running my silencer on my MP5 with the 3 lug system. Now the inside of the booster area is caked with carbon and its a pain in the butt to clean out. So I was thinking to put a 3 Lug adapter on the 1/2x28 threaded barrel on my pistol so that I don't have to use the booster at all. I ...

Re: Can someone run some quickload data for me?

Great. Thanks.

I do have the MAG ones so I'll back it down a bit. I'll try to get the other ones.

Looks like I should buy quickload myself.

Thanks for the pressure comments. This is going in a single shot
Rifle with 100% support of the case so I shluld be ok.

Can someone run some quickload data for me?

I’m looking for any data for:

45 Super Brass

300 Grain Hornady XTP

Acurate Arms #5 powder.

I can set COL to 1.25.

I want to get it close to 1000 fps out of a 16” barrel.

I’m thinking it might be 6.5 - 9 grains

Re: 10/22 SBR can.. Warlock 2?

SilencerCo/SWR used to upgrade the Spectre to the Spectre II for a fee (just a baffle stack and end cap swap for them) I prefer the II's. They have a lower tone that sound more quiet to my ear (and others I have shot them with). I like the CTA baffles but I'm not a huge fan of the looks of of the e...

Re: Registering an AOW as an SBS

How exactly does one go about registering an AOW as an SBS? I thought I had seen on here multiple times that you just had to put "Short Barrel Shotgun" in box 4b of the Form 4 (rather than AOW) and pay the $200 tax instead of the $5, but I searched the forum and can't find anything now. My dealer s...

I would go with the Spectre II.

The weight won't matter on a rifle and you can sue all the harsh crap to clean it.

So here is the picture: http://www.pallett.net/image/wwb-fmj.jpg This wasn't the full resolution photo so I can't zoom up into it to really see. Some of that looks like Jacket separation, some of it is the power junk I was expecting. Some of it could just be vapor like deposits on junk. How do the b...

Re: Full metal jackets and suppressors

This is really depressing me. First there's a thread on HKPro about suppressors damaging HK pistols and how only certain suppressors are "approved" for use on HK pistols, now I hear I shouldn't use WWB in my MAC-10/45 with my Viper45. I've got over 1500 rounds of WWB 230gr FMJ. :x I don't know whet...

It sure looks like copper jacket.... What did you determine yours was? The ammo I've been using is Winchester 230 grain full metal jackets It is "something" in the Winchester White Box. Are you getting "good" WWB or are you getting it from Dicks or Wally world? Try something else and see if you get...

I have been getting quite a bit of jacketting in my suppressor but the baffles are not showing signs of strikes. Are the hot loads? The numbers I've seen for N320 are 3.6 - 3.7 and it is a +P loading.

I have been very tempted to try taking my 22LR can apart and throwing all the internals into my drum tumbler with SS media. I know my brass cases come out great...
