Do we all hate that show SOG's....I just got to laugh!!!!
It's nice to see gun related programing returning....even if its bad. We'll last week a "client" brought in a S&W Model 76 SMG and SG9 suppressor. Could of been a Dater AWC or Southern Machine & Tool. For RJ to test fire and clean  because he was thinking he was going to sell it. The very art...

Re: Help turning/threading can
If your hobby lathe is a mini-lathe, the steady rest will handle up to 1" diameter. With some slight modifications to it, it can handle 1 1/4" diameter stock. Like Bender said, I would let your local machine shop thread your tube to specs and I would let your lathe do the work on the internals. With...

Re: Help with a Maxim 1923 silencer
This post brings back memories. When I got back here in '07 and acquired internet service... I found Silencertalk. My second posting here was on a new in tube Maxim Silencer that my father had. Dad pasted away in last year, his collection of those early NFA items I inherited. Everything is in ...

Re: AWC on a 223
I own quite a few AWC cans from that time period.
It seems to me anything they made for 22lr had aluminum internals, anything bigger had stainless internals.
If your internals are stainless, I would not be concerned....but like you said, avoid mag dumps.

Re: 5 inch barrel for 10/22 SBR
Easiest thing to do is just cut down a stock barrel. I made an integral with a ported barrel....Will be posting a thread in the silencersmithing section on it soon. http://i246.photobucket.com/albums/gg117/twodollarbill/DSC03732_zpsc006fdc4.jpg http://i246.photobucket.com/albums/gg117/twodollarbill/...

Re: fienstein wants ar,s under nfa
Remember back in '94 they put the Stryker 12's and USAS 12's on the Destructive Device Registry.
If you owned one, you had to send a form 1 in before the deadline...transfer tax exempt.
We'll if they do that too bump fires.....wouldn't that make them machineguns????

That is close.
If you wanted too, mount the plug in a lathe and take a little off the end.
You've got plenty in front of the bushing.

I looked at the Scorpion....Thought I'd have too custom paint my 45 can.

Re: storing a suppressed weapon?
My go-to weapons all have suppressors mounted.
I just make sure they are cleaned and oiled.
I have not seen any corrosion in any of my HKMP5SD's and they have been in boxes for almost 30 years.
