Re: pistons
is there any interchangability between suppressor pistons. I have an AAC Ti-Rant 9mm piston that I would like to use on another suppressor (not purchased yet), is that feasible? TiRant pistons are proprietary. The only way you will be able to use the same pistons is to have a custom can built that ...

Re: Inside a Silencerco 51t MAAD mount
Sorry, I missed your quote above which caused an early edit on my last post. That adapter is a pig at 4oz and its going to be paired with an Omega. It would be nice to keep the overall weight of that can down. I have a machinist friend who is just interested in the challenge of it and we have some ...

Re: Inside a Silencerco 51t MAAD mount
That was our first guess and the answer is no. I may call SiCo and see what they say. Thanks for the try though. Most likely will say, there is no need to take it apart so don't worry about it. We would like to make one out of titanium as the thing is a pig. Still, why would they tell you or help y...

My FFL is supposed to ship to Joe at Curtis Tactical tomorrow. Thank for the tip and to all who replied. If you are using Ti as the external tubing on a Form1 I would recommend using at least .065" walls.

Re: Thoughts on grade 2 Ti for spacers
Thanks bender.. Ill steer clear of grd 2 then. I appreciate the offer! I actually found a 10" piece that will work for $28 - prolly not a great price but it will suffice. It's also 0.035 thick. Thanks again. I would go a tad thicker for a Win Mag.......definitely in the blast chamber. What do ...

I'm designing my next suppressor.. I've got a 2" od 1.5" ID 12"L piece of 4140 that I'm going to turn down to 1.65"-1.625". Also going to hone the inside. Threads will be 1 9/16 x 20tpi. It's going to have 12 60* cones. It's gonna be a heavy. It's gonna see use on my 338 wi...

Re: SD Tactical Muzzle Brake External Threads???
Does anyone know what the external thread diameter and pitch happen to be? SD only states that they are proprietary. To me, proprietary equals, "stuck with SD Tactical". I've measured a SD QD Muzzle brake and it appears (to me anyway) to be a .808" Major/ .746 Minor External Thread. ...

I don't think it has any titanium in it, but if it does then its a no go for U/S or the Dip.

Re: Air swirling in pistol and rimfire cans
I am bored at work and as my mind often does I am thinking about suppressor design. Today's deviations have me thinking about how to swirl the air in a can not so much for cross jetting but more to just slow and cool the air. I think cross jetting is probably a more efficient way to lower the dB pr...

It is not uncommon to have enhanced accuracy with the can mounted. Allows the bullet to uncork from the barrel in a relatively stable atmosphere.

You can remove material, only an 07/02 can add. Welding is adding material and a manufacturing process....cans already complete, you can't manufacture it any more ;) I'm not trying to pick an argument, just playing devil's advocate, but couldn't OP just claim that his can was never finished yet and...
