Re: Please refresh my memory - theory of constructive posses
Regarding the AR-15 platform, if one has two complete rifles, plus one upper with a barrel length under 16", you are okay, as there are no 'free' lowers on which to assemble an SBR. Is that the consensus here? mbogo You are "okay" exactly until the day they say you aren't. Clear?

LOL, he pitted the cop.

Re: ? about 9mm suppressor bore design
The law's intent is if your can says its a 30 caliber and you intentionally shoot a over caliber projectile through it your in breach of the law. Is this in writing? Or is it reinterpreted for each individual incident? I was under the impression that bores can have clearance above the projectile's ...

My question is how many commercial .22 cans will have large enough bores to safely pass a .25 bullet? Or are folks planning on using a larger ID can such as 9mm?

Re: Have You Cleaned Your Mags Lately?
Of course. Duh. I disassemble and clean my magazines as needed. Usually just a couple passes with a large nylon bristle brush do the trick. Occasionally they might need a soapy bath. Also, and IMO more importantly, I disassemble every magazine I purchase new or used and "blueprint" them. I...

Re: Beretta 21A or P22 for small size suppressed 22?
The 21A is a higher quality gun... it's steel, and just better built. The downfall of the 21A is it's sights, they are all but nonexistent. P22's are light, fun to shoot, fairly accurate (they do have decent sights), and carry 3 extra rounds. The P22's downfall is that they have been known to have ...

Re: Beretta 21A or P22 for small size suppressed 22?
eric, thanks. I don't have much experience with 1911's so I don't have the muscle memory. It's not just 1911s. I grip all pistols the exact same way with both thumbs pointing forward, parallel to the frame. When I grasp a revolver I have to make a VERY conscious effort to roll my left thumb down an...

Re: Beretta 21A or P22 for small size suppressed 22?
Unless you already have a P22, it should be at the bottom of the list. Ruger's SR22 beats it in many ways. After handling a SR22 in a store I confirmed what I had surmised previously that the SR22 is not for me. Why? Because when I grasp it as I do every other pistol I own, due to Ruger's questiona...

What, does SilencerShop dictate the amount a transfer dealer can charge if I buy from them or something? Dealers around me, closest one being an hour away, charge $100 for their services and from what I can tell their nonexistent competition allows them to. The distance and the transfer cost is wha...

If you're asking if there is any point to subsonic 10mm loads, I say no there is not. That's what .40SW is for.
I have a similar answer to subsonic .357Magnum loads. That's what .38Special is for.

IME the low-recoil buckshot loads are more accurate. Out of my 18" Cylinder-bore Mossberg 500 barrel the Federal LE13200 load puts all 9 pellets onto a USPSA target at 25yards. I tried the Winchester "military" green-hulled, full-power loads and 3-4 pellets hit the same target at the ...
