Re: Legal issues for non-engraved form 1 receivers
In the past, it didn’t bother me to engrave the receiver, but this time is different because it’s a really nice item that I have been waiting for a long time to receive and engraving it is really eating at me. I never cared about the engraving on my other items and I have never and will never sell ...

Re: Legal issues for non-engraved form 1 receivers
I just sent off another receiver to be engraved for a form 1. I’ve done several and am familiar with the process. I am waiting on the 30pss for my 8.2" 300blk sbr.
I demod it with a dealer and was very impressed. Im sure the 30ps meters a bit quieter, but with 300 subs I doubt it would be noticeable.

Re: Securing
So I just got my first NFA weapon, a suppressor. Now I have a question. The need to secure it is obvious. However I haven't gotten a safe yet because I just want to wait until I move in a few months and get a big one and not have to spend the money on a small bedside one just to buy another later. ...

4 prong Surefire SOCOM flash hider
Last year I saw 4-prong Surefire SOCOM 556 flash hiders around. Here’s an example: http://fnforum.net/forums/guns-gun-items-sale-non-fn/49616-surefire-4-prong-socom-flash-hiders-fh556-rc-556-223-a.html Supposedly these were a military only run. The new ones are 3-prong. Anyone have any experience wi...

Re: Shadow Ops Weaponry .45ACP Suppressor NEW! $300
We actually do contract with military and LE, and are the Northern Colorado FNH dealer for class II/III LE firearms. Those SPL numbers are verified and tested by the University of Colorado. (not making them up, fwiw) The reason for the hearing protection Paul was wearing was due to other shooters on...

Re: Surefire baffle strike and warranty experience
When I got the can I noticed that it was really tight going onto the mount. I mean REALLY tight as in needed to be hammered onto the mount with a rubber mallet. That alone should have been a huge red flag that something was not right. You are absolutely 100% correct. Those were my thoughts ...

From my November of 2013 post: http://www.silencertalk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=120155&hilit=ops+inc The writing was on the wall way back then... Here is an email I received from OPS on 12/04/2013 after my form 3 had been pending 9+ months: Sorry for the delay. We have been going throug...

Surefire baffle strike and warranty experience
I thought I would share my latest Surefire experience with you all… I bought a SOCOM762 for my Ruger scout rifle. Light weight magazine fed 308 with a 16” barrel; what’s not to like? I had a local gunsmith install the surefire flash hider about a month before I received the stamp for the can. He use...

Re: Can't decide on a 30cal can
I recently tried out a few 30 cal thunder beast arm's cans and ended up buying the 30pss for my 8.2" 300blk sbr. I believe it is currently the shortest and lightest thread-on can out there. However, I wouldn't run supersonic rounds through it... Also, I have the YHM ti 5.56. IMHO, having cans f...

Re: Issue with Silencerco Trfecta flash hider and PWS barrel
I appreciate it Andrew, but I literally just shipped it off to PWS. I went back to the gunsmith and on PWS’s suggestion, we tried mounting the flash hider on a tap and it went on a fine, but you can really tell the difference between a standard birdcage and the Trifecta. It’s almost like the Trifect...

Issue with Silencerco Trfecta flash hider and PWS barrel
I have an issue that is leading me to question all I know about AR’s as well as my sanity… I cannot install a standard ½ x 28 Silencerco Trifecta flash on my PWS barrel! As soon as I start to screw it on, it seizes. I don’t want to force it on or cross thread it, so I stopped. I took it to a trusted...

How do you mount and index the trifecta flash hider? I don't see anything in the manual and there were no shims or washers in the package.

Posted this in another thread, but seems relevant here as well... Re: Anyone here got an Eform 4 approval yet?
I have gotten back 5 form 4's and 2 form 1's from early to mid-September. All between 90-95 days. I also have a few paper forms pushing 9+ months. It almost makes sense to withdraw the paper forms and do them online.. I would have done just that in September had I been clairvoyant enough to see this...

Thought I'd give you guys an update on this... Form 3 still pending. Over 6 months. I asked for and received a refund. According to ops, the state of California is giving him grief. I'm interested, but am curious... AAC had issues with their planned adapter... It seems the ATF considered the design a silencer part. You can see AAC's post here: http://www.silencertalk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=86&t=44250&start=50. I'm not trying to be a smartass or anything... Believe me...

So I got a box from silencerco the other day.. Really cool of them! My wife intercepted the box before I came home and handed it to me, waiting for me to open it. Re: Help me pick a dedicated home defense can
I used to employ a 14" aow shotgun for hd use. As my kids got older I realized that situational awareness, both for my family and myself, was a real concern. A pistol frees up a hand to open doors, guide kids, etc. The suppressor lets you hear one another. If the worst were to happen and I need...
