Of course the presumption is that the interest is for educational purposes only. :? No, I'm a Class 2 SOT. This is far from educational. I picked up/am picking up an SWD 9mm out of NV for $320. If it's not doable, I'll flip it. If it's doable without too much hassle or money, I'll convert it. Do yo...

I think we need to clarify the temporal period of SHTF. While I would agree, an AR-type rifle or similar would be great all-around hunting/self-defense, are you going to be able to carry it covertly? A pistol in 9/40/45 would also be a great idea, but how long are you going to be in SHTF situation? ...

Re: Dallas Area ClassIII/SOT/NFA/FFL/WTF?

I will quite possibly be moving to the Dallas Area (Arlington) this year and want to figure out where all the good Class III dealers are located, as well as all of the "recommended" gun shops. Can you guys name a few? - jb - Met Jim Self - nice guy. Waxahachie is SOUTH of Dallas of 35, no...

I have TacSol and had misfires, then TacSol said not to use a notched hammer (see their site).

Do you have a notched hammer? Could be same issue...

My priorities are availability of ammo, concealability, and knockdown power: not necessarily in that order. Thus, 22, 9mm, shotgun, and 223. I also consider that you have to CARRY your ammo (making 9mm edge 45/40S&W for me) Ruger 22 pistol (suppressed) Rem 870 SBS pistol grip Glock G19 with supp...

It'll be faster if you just buy the lower and SBR it yourself, unless you live in the same state as the "manufacturer" of the lower, or your dealer has one in stock.

It could have a DIAS or a Lightning Link in reality.
The "new" lower would prob have to be milled to accept either.
