Re: Brass wet tumble results

I use the same SS media and Lemi Shine but use a modified cement mixer with a plastic drum. I have found that if you use more SS media then recommended the brass takes less time and gets polished and cleaned better. I use 35 lbs SS media in the cement mixer and can clean a 5 gallon bucket of brass i...

Re: Do all Titanium rifle cans throw sparks?

I'm curious as to why titanium sparks and steel doesn't. It sparks because non-oxidized titanium ignites unbelievably easy. The sparks are chunks of the titanium that has come off the can and has ignited. Albeit they are super small particles. Titanium forms an oxide layer so incredibly fast the re...

Re: dipping aluminium suppressors ?

I mix 50/50 hydrogen peroxide and vinegar. Use a water bottle just big enough to fit the can in, threads up. Then pour the mix in, let sit over night. You wont believe all the crud that comes out of it.(it will bubble a lot) Rinse with water and blow off with compressed air and your done. If you thi...

Recently a gunsmith said to use Harbor Freight's Super Heavy Duty Degreaser 50% with water in a ultrasonic cleaner, WOW four 4 minute cycles and it's done. Rinse well with wa...
