Re: Best .40 Can
Osprey 40, definitely. The Major should have them in stock. I have a YHM Cobra M1 (it's very loud dry and shooting wet is annoying) and am upgrading to an Osprey 40 for my HK USP40 Tactical. I hope to have my stamp back sometime in September.

This might not fit into your budget limit, but it will give you ideas. It's my 2 year $9k (including cases, ammo, etc.) LWRCI M6A3 build: http://forum.lwrci.com/newforum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=2477 Latest pics and video (scroll down): http://forum.lwrci.com/newforum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=2477&...

Re: Anyone have a .40 can? How quite is it?
I have a YHM Cobra 40 (not an M2) for my HK USP40 Tactical, which is loud dry (ears ring) and OK wet (messy). My dealer has my Osprey 40 in his safe as of the other day and the paperwork was sent in June. I hope I can shoot it exclusively dry without ears ringing.

Re: Silencerco Osprey 9mm review
Nice work! My Osprey 40 just shipped from the Major to my local dealer today. Can't wait to put it on my USP40 Tactical! I'm not sure when my dealer sent my form 4 in.

Re: Water vs. wire pulling gel
The point of the Osprey is to not need coolant at all. This is why I'm getting an Osprey 40 to replace my old Cobra 40.
However, I suppose a gelled Osprey could be unscrewed a quarter turn while the host weapon is on its side and you could tighten it before use, thereby managing the gel pool.

Re: 9mm vs. 40 suppressed?
I have an HK USP40 for which I found a factory 14.5X1 LH threaded O-ring barrel at Midway. I bought O-rings to go with it and had to get the barrel fitted by a gunsmith so the slide wouldn't shave the O-ring on one side. I can still use the standard barrel but just keep the threaded barrel on with a...

Re: Troy has an ambidextrous version of the B.A.D.
What I meant by "ambidextrous version of the BAD" is that the leftward extension of the device before it goes back to the right in order to pass through the trigger area looks like it is intended to be usable with the left trigger finger in a similar but opposite fashion from the right fin...

Re: Ti-rant 40 in the pipe?
I hate to say it, but the lack of a TiRant 40 is driving me toward the Osprey 40. It has actually made the decision process much easier. I'm saving up for it now and am almost there. I want something holsterable anyway.

I did some experimentation last week with camera placement and distance, as having the camera at 10 yards makes the unsuppressed footage pointless, as the camera filters down the sound level: http://i827.photobucket.com/albums/zz194/pcprosystems/th_M6A3_and_SPR_M4_4_23_10.jpg I took the above video ...

If I didn't have 2 jobs and 3 kids, I'd have time to read everything on that forum. I wasn't aware of these confrontations as I don't pay attention to such things. I only pay attention to the quality of his products I own, the posts that are relevant to the gear I own when they are helpful and when ...

I have recently done the RTV fix on my LWRC M6A3's Armadynamics ambidextrous charging handle (LaRue has them) and put the high temp red on first with a coat of the lower temp black stuff over the top on the area visible when the handle is all the way forward. There's still a little bit of gas escapi...
