Re: 'Red Deer Cave' people may be new human species, Chinese

I'll bet the writers over at the History Channel are frantically working to cook up a new episode of Ancient Aliens.

Re: Sex-Changing Treatment for Kids: It's On the Rise

That story is full of WTF. It's absolutely unethical to perform a treatment like that on children. What the hell is wrong with parents? Don't any of them remember how idiotic they were during their formative years? Kids are supposed to confused about s--t - that's part of growing up. Granted, most o...

Re: Trump: No Better Gift For Dems Than Unelectable Santorum

I agree. I'm no Trump fan, but there is a wealth of sound bits and video clips out there that make Santorum come off as a religious zealot nutjob. I think they are lying low at the moment, but if you consume any of the "usual suspects" liberal media shows, they are already ramping up a bit...

I watched the first episode and thought it was funny when then "tactical expert" or whatever that had built a compound with his engineer buddy started yapping to the camera crew about OPSEC during the filming of one of his caches.

Re: Bigfoot Hunters: Animal Planet's Monster Sleuths Go High

Everyone likes a spectacle - these loons running around the woods looking for Sasquatch are quite the spectacle. My girlfriend and I crack up every time we see the commercial where some idiot says "I do believe there's a 'squatch in these woods!". I don't think I'd ever be so bored that I ...

Re: The death of Firefox

IE9 seems to me like a significant upgrade from IE8, but I understand they left intact the box model bug that has made so many developers hate it. I use IE9 for business because Internet Explorer is the only browser allowed with most of the websites I have to use. Opera takes over for anything else ...

Re: Google’s new privacy policy sparks Internet rage, but it

There is a good service called Scroogle (scroogle.org) that scrapes identifying data before submitting a search query to Google - I would suggest you folks take a look at it. You can add/replace most default browser searches with Scroogle using the following: http://www.scroogle.org/cgi-bin/nbbw.cgi...

Meh, I'm no prude, but I think her picture was over the top for a yearbook. The proper function of a yearbook is not to provide jerk material to the 3 kids left in school who haven't fucked that girl already. If she wants to whore it up, I'm sure she has Facebook and a million other venues to get th...

A lot of them are that way, and a lot of the problem is you - where you are looking for women, the sort of women you are consorting with, etc. If you're still young (it sounds like you are), stop sweating it - take some time (and available financial resources) to focus on you - "disregard femal...

Re: Mossberg 930 SPX wont cycle ;-(

I'll bet he didn't re-assemble it right - the gas system is located right under the handrail, and if anything is backwards or missing or hanging up on his new rail, it's not going to cycle. He should try tearing it down, verify everything is as it should be, and re-assemble with the factory handguar...

Re: Router or Modem help...

How is the signal strength at the router? If it is poor, you might get internet intermittently. I have one room with poor signal strength, and my modem tends to work fine when I'm using it, but when I wake up in the morning or after long periods of no internet activity, the upstream signal drops. It...

Re: The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

AAR on this for anyone that is interested... We saw the movie last night and I think it was very good. All parts were well acted, the story was intriguing, and even though it was a bit long, I didn't find myself ever checking my watch to see when it would be over. There is a bit of violence and a fa...

According to the article, he had full insurance. Who wouldn't be excited and a little bit stupid after being gifted a Lamboorghini? If road conditions were less-than-ideal, I could easily see something like that happening. Unfortunate, but it sounds like the guy has covered all his bases.

Texas Roadhouse around here does pretty well. You can expect your steak to be overcooked by one level - I order medium-rare to get medium. It's hard to complain at their prices, too. Perhaps you just have a couple of bad ones in your area 700PSS?

The average marriage in Mexico only lasts two years? I thought that country was predominately Catholic? How hard is it for Catholics to get an annulment these days? I thought that used to be a pretty involved process?
