Re: 2013 762 QDC and QDC/CQB cans

I'm pretty sure everyone is still waiting on F3's from KAC. I have the complete line of new cans paid in full with low numbers on the list of the first batches of each.
Hopefully, we'll get an update at the SHOT Show.

Re: 2013 762 QDC and QDC/CQB cans

Crap! Something got messed up and my F3 for the 762 CQB didn't get submitted till today? I thought KAC did this a month ago? Oh well, just waiting for now...

Re: Best SR-25 Variation to commercial

I really like the EMC/ECC and the ECR, but the SHOT Show is right around the corner, I'd like to see what new offerings they may have before I'd purchase now.

Re: URX 4 Questions

It would take a skinny can to get in there and still have clearance. I'd have to dig around for an ID dimension. There's a KAC video that shows the install. My first one was a quick learning curve, it's easier with a rail vice for final alignment.

Re: Question for EMC/ECC owners

Thanks for your feedback on trying this out. I'm really thinking this doesn't game the gun too much at all. Ejection is still strong, no issues at all so far even cold and fouled, 100% lock back on last rounds, etc. Just to try out, I'm looking into different flavors of .308 ammo to see how they do....

Great news! Just got a request for an updated SOT to F3 my 762 CQB/QDC!
Too bad transfer times are way up right now.

Re: Question for EMC/ECC owners

That would be great if you could post your results! I really like this combo for my guns, I'd like hear to what happens when you try it out. I didn't post it before, but I tried this in 2 of my EMC's, an early one with the small ejection port opening and non-sand cut carrier that shoots extremely we...

Question for EMC/ECC owners

A while back I posted that I tried a Colt H3 buffer in one of my EMCs when running a can. I know it's not needed or required, but I had it, so I tried it. It felt smoother to shoot, to me at least. Later on I was able to pick up some AB39, it shot very soft and 100% reliable with the factory buffer....

Re: Overgassed SR-15.....Need help

To clarify, I run H1 buffers in newer SR15s without a can. The standard SR15 buffer is too light for my taste with good full power ammo. With that same ammo and most cans, a H3 buffer runs good. Some reduced backpressure cans run ok with a H1, but better with a H2. I recommend Colt buffers to get co...

Re: What's the best brake of these three?

I've shot the Surefire brakes and MAMS head to head. If there's a slight decrease in recoil with the Surefire, it's outweighed by the blast and flash it throws over the MAMS. At least that's my opinion of it. I've never tried the PRI, but if it doesn't mount a can, it might as well be one of those g...

What ammo are you running? I normally swap out the CAR buffer with a H1 without a can on newer SR-15s anyway.

Try out a H2 and a H3 buffer. Probably will run the H3 by the sounds of it.

The barrel extension tool looks great! Time to retire my modified reaction rod that I was using for SR-15s. Also nice to have more 5.56 MAMS show up.

Re: KAC/KMC Commercial Order Update 6/6/2013

Good news! 5.56/7.62 barrel extension tools invoiced and shipped! It's really good to see the new products rolling out. The big question is when are the commercial orders for the new lines of cans going to ship? Same question on 11.5" uppers? I know that all of my NFA stuff is processing slower...

Re: A2 FH Vs Surefire MB Vs Triple Tap Vs 5.56 MAMS

It wasn't scientific at all really. Feedback from multiple shooters and bystanders, some day and night video, using shot timers, comparing burn marks on freshly painted barricades. Nothing like a lab with specialized equipment.

Re: A2 FH Vs Surefire MB Vs Triple Tap Vs 5.56 MAMS

There's nothing wrong with a NT4, but there's added features with the QDC line. Reduced weight is a big one for me, lighter makes it easier to run the gun. Locking up tighter and having 2 sizes of cans is a plus for me also. The new series of KAC flash hiders and brakes are an improvement over the o...
