I think a MAMS is a great choice for a MOD 1, even if you never plan on suppressing it. That with a Colt H1 buffer is very smooth shooting, and runs well on all but the weakest of ammo. Latest batch of Mod 1s that just came in have the new lower receivers without the QD sling mounts. Been waiting on the newer ones to filter down for a while. Only minor complaint is they came with a conventional receiver end plate, not ones with the QD cups.
