Re: Best 50 cal suppressor?
For shooting through barricades, disabling armored or reinforced vehicles, taking out bad guys through thick or reinforced glass, yeah there is a danger with over penetration, just make sure that the background is clear. Detonating explosives from range without exposing ones self to the danger area...

Re: Government shutdown affects on NFA processing??
I wouldn't be surprised that when they do get back to work that the first several weeks will be dealing with the backlog of dealer and MFG form submissions and not much will be done for the most part until a week or two later on forms 1 and 4. You are probably right, I know we have a bunch of forms...

Re: Government shutdown affects on NFA processing??
Well, while sitting down in the dumps about my Form 4 sitting in limbo for another month due to this aforementioned nonsense, I got a phone call from my LGS. "Your tax stamp came in Mr. White, you can come pick up your item whenever you'd like." I made this face for 24 hours straight. :mr...

Re: Alpha Baffles
You submitted the Form1.....why are you not the one making it? I think you are a good guy, but sometimes your posts make me wonder. I make form 1s to test my concepts for alternate design elements. I don't want to be a commercial manufacturer. Traditional 7s make 1000+ unit runs. I only want 1 made...

... Most DO have an oring in there to ensure alignment and a gas seal. Thanks again Bender. Do most booster designs have the ID of the cylinder that houses the piston and the OD of the widest part of the piston very close to each other? I've only seen internal photos of a very rusted Tirant so it w...

considering making a muzzle brake form 1 can (and brakemount
So wanting to have a muzzle brake mounting solution for a form 1 I am planning. The rear adapt. aof the can itself would be a press & weld type. With a welded core stack torqued into place.... Everything keyed to ensure proper allignment etc. As far as attachment looking for any insights. This w...

Re: DDLES SBR!
How is the blowback? Looks a little gassy on some shots. Might want a heavier buffer. Some 9mm buffers still have the steel weights, try swapping (one at a time) with tungsten weights and trying that You can go for reliability both suppressed and not, with varying ammunition all the way to the othe...

I don't have my Form 4s with me so this will have to do until I can get to them... http://s14.postimg.org/ox5rytdlt/eat_crow.jpg http://postimage.org/app.php Looks like more of the typical "take my word for it" because you don't have proof. If you did you would jump on the chance to do so...

Re: NFA Form Processing Update
I'm kinda glad that some people aren't buying right now, because that means you may just be able to get a handle on an item that was hard to get a handle on before..... Supply and demand.... I also don't know of any dealers saying anything other than "was 6 now its 9+" But maybe because th...

Re: Silencerco claims they selling it...
And given silencerco's CS rep has what just may be the best CS in the bid there is no other reason to doubt them.... I just know that some retailers also presold some of the optional attachments and mounts, the only people I see being heavily affected are dealers for demo/sample cans who would be th...

Unless you are a dealer, you don't have a Saker in hand anyhow, so chill and get one when you can get one. That's some nice encouragement you just gave. . Unfortunately that is the reality... Same with the saker "Y" mounts.... Also many probably were already spoken for by people w...

Re: Possible Increase in NFA Transfer Tax, et al
I love how all these sorts of bills say 'exempts law enforcement, military, federal, state and local governments'... however sad reality is lost profits from civilian sales, when many more start casting, will equate to higher costs for even those organizations. Same reason why a County sheriff in ce...

Re: Why is my subsonic ammo going supersonic?
Remington subsonic I have long had issues with... even in my buckmark with Tac-Sol 5.5" barrel had some going super, but not like you mention... it would just be a true fluke randomly. I have since switched to using Federal auto-match bulk packs, and some competition grade Aguila .22 LR pistol ...

Re: TiRant FRP?
When I use a pistol can on a subcaliber host I always add some water (or other medium) to ensure that FRP is minimal. Not a full charge but a couple CCs and it is barely noticeable and doesn't make a huge mess like when shooting wet with a full charge.

Re: Using a QD Suppressor as a Thread On
I have several customers who do it all the time. As long as the threads are within spec, and all is torqued to spec, you would theoretically be ok... however warranty would probably not hold up should anything happen. Also check often and regularly for ANY sign of loosening. I would still just get ...

Maybe... he could be the assistant. The name posted are the ones who is authorized to sign the approval. The assistant examiners only help check for errors but they don't sign. NFA did hire some more authorized examiners but don't know if they fully trained yet. If you get your form back and he sig...

Re: Specwar 762 vs. YHM Titanium Phantom ?
I'd like to get a good all around 762 can. I want to shoot WIN, 300 BLK and .30-06 through it, so it kills some of the other offerings out there including the SDN6. Hosts will be both bolt AND a DPMS LR308B. I really like the Specwar's statistics and SWR's customer service, but it's HEAVY. The YHM ...

Re: Specwar 762 vs. YHM Titanium Phantom ?
YHM has some AWSOME customer service, I did a test run to see if I made the right choice when I bought my YHM 7.62 QD can; I called them and asked what I should do with a can I already had that had baffle strikes, the guy on the phone said no problem just send it in and we'll fix it. Of all the com...
