At least in the case of my integral suppressor on an old French .22LR pistol, CLP in a barely-there film resulted in a very loud FRP. Second shot was somewhat quieter but still louder than without CLP. After that volume came down to normal levels for my 6 K baffle plus ported barrel with metal scrub...
