On the last couple passes or every other pass, I thread at the same depth again to try to clean up any flex your part/tool may have experienced.

The tops of those threads looks very pointy to me :? did youy use insert specific for that pitch ? if so they should give the right top and bottom form measuring with threads wires give you the some info but if the the tops are to pointy the threads is to big , even if the wires gives the right num...

Mini lathes are a joke. Not really. I have a Siege 7x12 and I've made a lot of stuff on it. Is it as useful and versatile as a larger lathe? Of course not. Mini lathes are a joke. Save your money and get a used lathe in good condition or a at least a 22" bed length and 1-1/2" spindle bore.
