Re: Threading a tube on 7x12 mini lathe..
I don’t know if your mini-lathe steady rest is similar to mine, but I modified mine to accept 1.5 inch tubing. I just extended the slots in the fingers a bit. Etorjul, I had looked at your thread before with the 6.5x55 suppressor build, that was awesome. Yes my steady rest is the exact same thing y...

Re: Threading a tube on 7x12 mini lathe..
Please don't try it under power with a 3-jaw chuck. The tube will distort and spring. The best that can happen at that point is that you blush and curse. Everything else is downhill from there... Hehe,  ... Thanks for the advice guys, I will keep yall updated when I have my final idea ...

Re: Threading a tube on 7x12 mini lathe..
Oh forgot to mention, still internal threading, (Im pretty sure external should be a breeze for me.) Im thinking since I cant chuck up a long tube the full length of 8" and 1.5" to 2" OD on my mini lathe, I will cut the tube in half (4" each) and thread the 2 pieces of tube toget...

Threading a tube on 7x12 mini lathe..
Another question concerning threading on the 7x12..would it be possible to chuck a piece of 1.5" to 2" OD round aluminum stock say 6" long on the mini lathe to thread without the use of a steady rest since the steady rest only holds diameters up to 1" ? Is a 6" long piece of...

So this might be a dumb question to ask but I have to know if anyone has ever shot a Gemtech MK9K on a Glock,HK,Sig..etc with subsonic ammo. If so what were the results?

Internal threading question..
I am planning on building a 9mm suppressor for a Glock with a Lone Wolf .5x28 threaded barrel. As shown in this quick picture I made what would the internal diameter of the suppressor be turned too in the lathe where the barrel threads into before the threading is started. Thanks alot. http://img525...

Re: Which Walther P22 1/2x28 adapter do I buy?
I bought 2 p22 1/2x28 adapters from tactical innovations and they work great no baffle strikes on 2 different p22's. I dont see them as low quality.

Not ultra quiet with subsonic or standard velocity .22's? Looks like it would do the job really well too me.

Carrying in hospitals is a no go here too, but I carry anyways, I always get away with it except for those damn short pocket pants I was wearing that time. I should've carried my p32 but oh well.

Not to highjack but talk about printing, I walked into a hospital not too long ago I was in somewhat of a hurry and threw my glock 26 in my pocket, I was wearing pants that had a little shorter pocket that usual, long story short one of the security guards noticed it, called the cop on duty at the h...

Re: Shooting just primers with the can.
Hey that was pretty cool. Was that a .45? Also have you ever loaded up a small caliber round like a 9mm,(or a .40 or.45) with no powder just the primer and fire it? If so how far did or would the bullet go from a pistol? I have, it didn't make it 3" down my 9mm AR barrel. I had to pull the bol...
