Your threading looks very nice, why did you decide to weld one end and thread the other?
I'm just thinking that with one fixed end, it will be nearly impossible to get the baffles and spacers out after being shot for a while.

Re: 9MM UZI can conversion ??
When you talk about used suppressors, I know that 'name brand' cans don't hold their value like they should and 'no-name' 07's sell for even less - you'd be lucky to give away a Form 1 can ... but with all that sunshine - ever consider selling it?

Re: Index on the muzzle
It can be done but the larger area of a shoulder will help keep the suppressor from unscrewing. I forgot to mention the dimensions, the barrel is about 1.300" in diameter, and it has (of coarse) a .510 bore. So right now there is .395" of a 'face' on either side of the bore. Is there an '...

Index on the muzzle
Does anyone know of a reason that a suppressor can't index on the face of the muzzle? Like this: http://i281.photobucket.com/albums/kk219/WhisperFan/Firearms/Mount_zps3dad7cef.jpg I have a Spider Arms Ferret 50. The barrel has no shoulder. I also have a 50 BMG and a 50 Spotter barrel for this that h...

Re: 9MM UZI can conversion ??
What is the material? I think that would be important if you are considering a center fire bolt gun Also, if the suppressor itself is modified, I think that is OK, but it would have to be done be an 07/SOT (as stated before) but I think you could have your machinist make a thread adapter that is a n...

Re: Any legal way to use a stamp for a larger caliber?
For what it is worth, I had an approved Form 1 for a 9mm can, and I had not built it. I decided I wanted a .223 can. I sent in a letter and received a letter back approving the change. That was in 2009, so things may have changed since then - for me, I just keep the approval letter with my Form 1. ...

Re: A fun project
I gave it back to my Nephew. It was made into a "pistol" a long time ago, all I did was modernize it a bit. Situations like this can be a judgement call for NFA. If an investigator decided this was worthy of making a fuss over, there is probably wording somewhere in the rules to support t...

Re: Paperwork is approved, but dealer can't give it to me??
Maybe he himself is currently just an 01, in process of upgrading his FFL? He wouldn't need any other FFL to sell, other than an 01 .... to sell NFA a dealer needs an 01 and and paid SOT - that is all. The only thing I can think of is that the dealer as a solo entity will begin a new boundbook, but...

Re: explosion a chamber
'Expansion' chamber? If that is what you mean, it is a name for the very first section, or chamber, that the gasses leaving the barrel encounter. Usually there is nothing in that 'chamber' to redirect or change the flow of the gas, it is simply an area that the gas can expand into. At the rear of th...

Merry Christmas .... First of all, there has been no firm legislation proposed as of yet .... so no one know what any potential future law will look like. If a ban of some type occurs (which - by the way - is by no means a foregone conclusion) I believe the most likely format will be similar to the ...

What is the point in talking about video games? It is not like they should or can be banned. For me, the point of talking about the violence in video games is the same as speaking about the breakdown of the family unit, and the systematic removal of God from society, the over-medication of children...
