I would like to think they did not file charges just to appease those yelling for an arrest. But, my gut says they did. On the other hand, if they don't have enough to convict, this should help Zimmerman. A not-guilty verdict means he cannot be tried again for the same charges for the same incident....

My 20-year old college student daughter came home on Spring Break and is at work.

Since a number of agencies are under the DHS umbrella, this might not be an unrealistic amount for training, qualifications, and carry ammo.
