Re: WTF item of the week!
I'm going with either a network attached storage tower missing it's hard drives (probably SCSI) or a optical disk cloning center missing it's drives. You are sort of close. It isn't a printer and the drive it is attached to can be SCSI, Or Fiber or ESCON or FICON attached. It is used for data backu...

Re: Form 1 .308 Can Complete
Nicely Done I just e-mailed diversified machine for my Form 1. I was not looking forward to trying to cut internal threads on a Ti tube. I would likely still do my own baffle as I don't want the freeze plugs.

Re: 3AL 2.5V tube wall for a .30cal build
Hey I notice the tubing I bought is slightly out of round. My plan was making the muzzle end cap out of SS and pressing it into the Ti tube with about a .002 interference fit. I was going to heat the Ti. in my toaster oven to 4 degrees than press it on the end cap. I was than going to make the blas...

Re: What tools to use?
There is a place by me that does NFA engraving maybe a laser engraver can take 3-4 passes and get down to say .010 and be sufficient.

That is why everytime I hear about an estate sale of an old WWII or Korean vet I go, never know what you might find in the old war chest.Bendersquint wrote:There are more than you think.joe0121 wrote:I seriously doubt there are many true OSS Pistols in private hands if any.

Re: WW II OSS Pistol Detailed Article
It is my understanding that the OSS pistols had no marking what so ever . Could it be a knock off and not a bonafide OSS/CIA pistol? In other word could some dude in the 70's known about the OSS pistols and made this as a tribute? +1 Astute observation. From personal experience my HD's were great b...

I'd say for a first time form 1'er I'd say the biggest decision in tube material is your pockets/equipment/machining skill.akfreak762 wrote:Would the type of tube material have an effect on performance or does it all depend on baffle type and spacing?

If you beat me to, could you post the specs on the external threads and taper of the brake? I just ordered one and will start a thread with the specs if you don't. Best I can tell the external thread is 1 - 20 the Major Diameter is .995 with .050 center to center on the thread pitch the thread reli...

Just got my form 1 approved
In 36 days!
I e-filed with a trust. Jason bowers was the examiner. He also approved some one else Form 1 for an SBR on NFA trust. Evidently a hard working man. I am gonna have to get moving on restoring my 1963 South bend Heavy ten so I can get my can made.

I have a 45-70 I want to do something similar with to hunt white tail. I am thinking of shooting sub's myself as shooting distance where I hunt are rarely over 100 yards.

Re: Anybody done a form 1 using the new online eforms servic
I just did my first form 1. I set up a trust using 199trust.com. It only cost me 99 dollars, which seemed pretty cheap compared to some of the ones out there. Has anybody had any experience with them ? I made a couple mistakes and Eric was great about correcting my mistakes. I just hope it is a goo...

Re: Anybody done a form 1 using the new online eforms servic
I efiled March 16th and was disapproved last week due to having letters in the caliber section. Refiled and got a new control number a few days later. Emailed the old and new numbers to Dana Pickles (the examiner who disapproved me) and was approved in less than two hours. So, total was about three...

Re: Anybody done a form 1 using the new online eforms servic
Just submitted another Form 1 e-file with a trust. Ten minutes start to finish. Went pending in ten minutes. According to NFA tracker it usually take a week or two to go pending when mailing in your form (shipping time etc) so even if it save a week it is worth it. According to the ATF they reduced ...

I bet if I build my wife an 22LR AR she would be tinkled pink with a can anodized in that fashion. You could have also done about four mag dumps to get a similar result.
