Re: I need some new hosts!

... I'll dig around for a .22 1911 upper as well. Depending on which kit you get and which silencer, this may not work well. The weight of a can on the barrel has been noted to cause enough friction to cause malfunctions. My own Kimber conversion unit is very finicky, only running 100% with the mos...

Re: Rimfire or 5.56 can on 22 Hornet?

... I'm wondering if anybody has tested to see if the larger internal volume of the 5.56 can reduces the muzzle blast appreciably more than the rimfire can? I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say "it depends" LOL Spectre II is a very efficient design, and there are certainly some ineffic...

Re: Specwar 762 vs Omega

Weight is very important to me and that's the only thing that kept me from going with the Specwar.

Will you hunt with the can or do any competitive matches? Kids or wife shoot it? Or will you mostly shoot off the bench or from a rest?

2 weeks with the Warlock II

Picked it up two mondays ago and have now put about 150 rounds through it between a Ruger Mk III and a CZ 455. When I first unboxed it at the FFL I was amazed at really just how light this thing is. That's the main reason I bought it but it IS LIGHT! Construction is good, machining and fit all top n...

so many great cans coming out right now...this one seems like it might be towards the top of the heap...would you say?

Any thoughts on Surge vs Omega? Specifically mounting systems and overall suppression?

Re: suppressor getting lose while shooting

I slide a o ring on the barrel before I thread on the suppressor. Seems to work great. There's no way to be sure that o-ring is compressing perfectly even all the way around. Could lead to a baffle strike, especially with a tight bore and/or long can. At the least could cause a wandering POI. Best ...

Re: Best .223 can

So with mostly range use, weight is not a huge issue for you. You now will need to weigh cast bullet compatibility against quick attach versatility. Cast bullets can foul a suppressor pretty quick. Some have reported success with powdercoated cast bullets in a sealed can. I'd say if you can do witho...

Re: Best .223 can

A few questions for you:

1: will you use the can on multiple hosts?
2: How will you use it? Do you plan on hunting or will it mostly be used at the range, or??
3: Do you shoot cast bullets at all?

Re: twin tech tactical vortec

That's a actually poor design that relies strictly on volume. Their numbers are obviously wrong (they claim 103 db). Perhaps they don't have the right kind of sound meter....

Watch a few of SWR's videos like this one to hear what effective rimfire cans sound like.

Just understand that none of the items are yours, they belong to the business and go with it. Partners die/split up, fight over assets. Even if your split best of friends you will have to do a form 4 again pay the tax again, to take possession of your items. Kinda what I was thinking but wasn't goi...
