Re: TiRant 9 fixed barrel spacer question?
Same thing with mine...I was nervous it wasn't normal too. I did have a few times that the piston didn't seat into the suppressor correctly and the space was a lot bigger...that obviously not okay.

Re: A sound compensator? Legal or not
I would be nervous...with that being said: Ask to see a copy of his letter from the BATFE that states that it is legal...and if you buy one, ask for a copy of that letter to go with it.

Re: NFA Wait times graph
The whole point of statistics is that you take a small subset of data to infer/extrapolate to a larger population. Crap in=crap out, gold in=gold out. This applies to large or small sample population sizes. This is how we have learned EVERYTHING in medicine. If medical research could always get 5% ...

Being that I have an advanced degree in statistics I completely disagree with you. Please explain how less than 5% of the total transfers completed by 12 different examiners covering 12 different regions with 12 different volumes of applications and varying dispersion of manufacturers and governmen...

I have used http://www.nfatrust.com to track different wait times from "forms sent" to "stamp received." I used these different days because they were the most reliable (most people use, fill in, these areas). This graph is the last 114 different items reported by NFATracker.com ...

Re: BEST AMBI 45 TI-RANT HOST
Another option should be a HK USPt. I know this wasn't in your options...but the tac is a great gun...already has the threaded bbl, match trigger and for 26 dollars at hkparts.net you can have the same mag release as the hk45. Plus it is awesome. I've had mine for a decade and with the TiRant I coul...

Re: Blackout FH vs Brake for SDN-6
A question for you: What does your setup look like? I am running a mk18 upper and with the break on it it was blown away with the recoil reduction. I recently switch to the blackout because I needed the space bw the muzzle device and the rails. There is def more recoil with the fh but that will be m...

I think that this would result in such a reduction in force of the firearms industry that it wont stand a chance.

Your situation has been done a lot without problems but below is some good reading for you. http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_3_122/525036_Request___Scans_of_any_letters_from_the_BATFE__that_pertain_to_AR_pistols.html A word of caution though: An ATF letter only grants the letter recipient immunity for t...

Re: Best way to mail in ATF forms..
I use delivery confirmation when I send in a form 1, but my dealer uses first class mail. The most important thing is to send it as soon as you can...because every day you will wait will piss you off in six months.
